"Been past this pub a lot but the first time I've gone in it. Lovely meal, efficient and friendly staff. I had the scampi and my friend the chilli con carne. Waffle with cream and chocolate sauce and my friend had ice cream for dessert. The scampi was very nice and I had a taste of the chilli con carne which I'll definitely have on our next visit. My friend said it was the best he'd ever tasted. Parking: Parking is at the side of the pub, but recommend backing in because it's a bit dodgy reversing out into the narrow main road."

The lady running the bar, and the whole show was lovey and so friendly and welcoming. Dietary restrictions: 1 of the party was coeliac and the staff fully understood the condition, which impressed us. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Went here after visiting a pumpkin farm. Staff were accommodating and flexible. We liked that they have a kids menu that is reasonably priced and the garden was great for our party's group of toddlers.. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Voir le carte

A proper village pub run by fantastic people at the heart of Chelsfield. Their food is delicious and their welcome genuine. The bell ringers still drink there as they have done for centuries, although there are now 8 bells in the belfry of St Martin's!

As for parking, there are designated bays alongside the pub as well as spaces available on the road opposite. Kid-friendliness was also impressive; the children felt very welcome, and the children's menu was thoughtfully designed with a variety of choices.

We stopped here for a last minute Sunday lunch and they squeezed us (and the dog! in. One of the best pub roasts I’ve had in ages, had the gammon because they had run out of other meats and even though that wouldn’t be my usual choice I really enjoyed it! The veg sides were stellar and also amazing desserts too! Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Voir le carte

I had a wonderful Sunday lunch here last week. The portion of meat was very generous, accompanied by delicious roast potatoes and plenty of vegetables—there wasn't a single morsel left on my plate. The dessert, a lemon posset, was incredible; it was so large that it could have easily served two people. Absolutely delicious! Overall, it was a fantastic meal with my family. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to visiting again. Food: 5 Service: 5

I visited on Saturday afternoon for lunch, and the pub was nearly empty, yet the service was still fairly slow. The food was average considering the price, served on cold plates with small portions, and the side orders were pricey. The highlight of the meal was the dessert; the lemon tart was delicious, but I had to pay an extra 75p for the ice cream that came with it. To be honest, I'm not inclined to return there anytime soon. It was a disappointing experience. Food rating: 3.

"Where do I start... I 'm going to be really honest, this was my first and last time here. First off we were promised a live music which turned out to be more on the lines of mumbling some lines. The atmosphere was drab and non existent. The food was cold and tasteless. Most of my friends that went (12+ we couldn 't finish our meals as meat was uncooked and carbs (rice chips were still frozen. We paid £30pp for a belly dancer, live music and a set menu, which is fair enough. The belly dancer was outstanding as always and was entertaining. Couldn 't say the same about the service and fixtures. We asked for water a number of times and was then presented with a plastic water bottle which wasn 't very clean with tap water and was told to share this across the table. We were not impressed. The reason for this was they had run out of jugs (btw no-one had jugs or food for that matter. Timely delivery of food, didn 't exist. We got to the restaurant at 19:30, we had some drinks caught up ordered. Starters came out at 20:50. We then entertained by shouting in the kitchen and what seemed to be a disagreement between all staff, other diners at this point started walking out without eating anything as they had waited so long. Then at 21:57 we were graced with our main meal which was half hot half cold. Rice was pretty much frozen, meat was hot but as mentioned before, some was uncooked. Not too mention the smallest lime in my 'strawberry daiquiri ' which has literally no taste. We you can tell from the pictures these were not happy customers a lot of food was left... Yes a plastic container for my sweet and sour sauce instead of the promised aioli sauce. Bearing on mine the whole time we sat with our coats and scarves on as the AC was turned up so high our hands were turning blue. In conclusion, if you want to pay through the nose for cold, uncooked and unfriendly stay them please come enjoy (sarcasm ."
