Four of us dined at the restaurant last night, and we were impressed by the extensive selection of meat, fish, and vegetarian options available. We enjoyed our dinner and main courses, all of which were excellent. The staff was very friendly, and we also discovered a delicious bottle of wine for just £10! It was a wonderful evening, and we will definitely be returning. Thank you!

This used to be a fantastic pub over three years ago, but it has been quite disappointing this summer. We decided to give it another chance after our first visit, but unfortunately, our second experience was still subpar. The menu is limited and unappealing, with strange 'add-ons' that aren't mentioned in the descriptions. On both occasions we went, the pub was nearly empty, and it's easy to see why—the quality has really declined. It seems there’s new management once again, but the same issues persist. It's truly unfortunate.

The owners are exceptionally friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. You can order drinks and lunch from the bar, with options to enjoy your meal either indoors or outdoors. The lunch offerings are well-prepared and generously portioned. Breakfast is included and is served in the evening. You can choose from a Full English Breakfast, a Vegetarian option, or a Continental breakfast featuring croissants, yogurt, and fresh fruit. Lovely pub setting with a delicious sounding menu, we went in with high hopes. However, the food was of poor quality and no flavour. I had the butternut squash and sage ravioli to start, the pasta was very thickly rolled and there was no flavour to it. My partner had the gnocchi bites which were over cooked and far too many for a starter. Unfortunately our mains were not much better. Take, for instance, the cheeseburger I ordered, which was topped with brie. I expect a classic burger to come with cheddar or American cheese, not brie, which suggests an attempt at sophistication that simply doesn't align with my expectations for a British pub. Then there was the 'Warm Chocolate Brownie.' When I asked the server if it came with ice cream, she confirmed it did. I imagined a soft, warm brownie topped with a scoop of ice cream. Instead, I was served a dry, lukewarm slice of brownie smothered in raspberry jam, with a scoop of ice cream awkwardly placed on top. It was quite disappointing.
