"East Point Pier Lowestoft To get to East Point Pier, the walk along the seafront prom is wonderful, in our opinion, THE BEST PART OF LOWESTOFT! I walk with the aid of a walker so it’s imperative that pavements are level and undamaged, and the whole stretch of Lowestoft promenade is brilliant. We walked down to East Point Pier from our hotel at the top of the hill which took us a good while, but it was a fab walk in the sunshine with a number of benches to rest looking out to sea. There are a few bars to stop off for a drink and a few kiosks to enjoy an ice lolly or a donut (or two . East Point Pier is a large undercover area, which was easy to get around with my walker. Too many attractions nowadays are so crammed with lots of tables and chairs making it difficult for me and those with wheelchairs/buggys to get around, but there’s plenty of space inside here. They have music playing inside and there are a number of kiosks for different foods and a bar too which was much TOO expensive for us to have a drink! Unfortunately for us the place just didn’t have a relaxed atmosphere, it felt very much like a school canteen inside PTSD!!!!! So we didn’t stay!! I needed to use the disabled toilet which you’re only supposed to access with a radar key, but it was open for all to use and there was NO toilet paper in either side of the double dispenser!!!!!! Others have said how nice the non disabled toilets are, so I guess the disabled ones aren’t really at the top of their list to keep clean and topped up with toilet paper! The whole Pier/Pavillion area absolutely stank of sewage on both days we were there with a septic tank truck making an almighty racket for what seemed like forever! The acrid stench filled the air, perhaps this should be done at night when it’s not so busy during the holidays. Unfortunately Lowestoft Town Centre let’s the whole area down! It is disgusting! It’s really run down, most of the shops are shut and the council have allowed the seagulls to completely take over, roosting above most of the shops, so there’s masses AND I MEAN MASSES of poop EVERYWHERE. Why hadn’t anything been done about it for the start of the 6 weeks holidays?! Shop Doorways literally look like they’ve had huge cans of white paint poured all over the place and IT ABSOLUTELY STINKS TO HIGH HEAVEN!!! You would think perhaps the food/take away shops would clean up outside their doorways to entice people in if the council aren’t going to bother, but NO, It truly is DISGUSTING!!! As I mentioned at the top of this review, Lowestoft’s Saving Grace is it’s Promenade and Beach. It’s worth going to visit just for that!"

The restaurant was refurbished and reopened in June 2022 as an indoor open-plan area with various food stalls reminiscent of a mock market. The stalls offer a variety of cuisines including pizzas, Asian dishes, and Mexican fare. There is also a bar selling a selection of craft beers, as well as a beer fridge. Guest DJs frequently provide music for diners to enjoy while they eat and drink in the well-ventilated space. This renovation provides a unique dining experience that diverges from what is typically found in Lowestoft, and it is hoped that the local community will support this new concept. For visitors, it offers a refreshing change from the usual seafood options commonly found in the a... Voir le carte

Stopped by here with friends last week while parked up by the seafront it was lovely we had a drink from the bar, purchased some tasty local grub from pop up food huts, got some fab pics had a good chat with the manager who seemed a really nice genuine guy. All the staff in this place were very friendly welcoming for that matter too. Impressed with the bathroom facilities as well as they were really clean hygienic which isn't always the case. Being in the winter now it was quite quiet when we arrived but upon leaving a good hour or so later it was busier. This place is probably packed in the summer months with more going on such as live music more food options along with more tourists. We we...

I visited this restaurant over the weekend, as it is open for the first light festival with many dining options to choose from. I enjoyed a big burger and delicious rice dishes from Oishi Kitchen, pulled pork tacos from Hermanas, and excellent pizza bases from Black Dog Deli with various quality toppings. I usually grab takeaway Scotch eggs and sausage rolls from Run and Planet UEF (love the name!) to keep me going. I only managed to have a beer at Sir Toby's, their Pavillon beer was good, but I will return for a more relaxed sit-down experience. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and better than the old White Elephant. The toilets are clean, the indoor and outdoor seating options are g...
