"I was curious to eat here as I read all the good reviews. Our table was for 4 and booked for 4 a.m. on Sunday, which I thought was after a busy lunch service. We were 10 minutes late, but there were many empty tables. Told ur table was not ready so we had a drink at the bar, something strange as it is a pub, so was not disturbed. After sitting at the table, you had to wait 10 minutes or so, no one came by and had to ask for menus. 3 different roasts ordered, unfortunately, had to wait an hour if no longer for food. We noticed that the couple got their lamb in front of us in the vicinity, although they were arrived and ordered after us. When the food arrived 2 dishes served first and then the waiter was in the middle of the over the last dish, but stopped to serve another customer a drink At no point has anyone explaining or apologising for the long waiting period and when I asked why the optional service fee was automatically entered into the card machine without asking me first, I got a somewhat bumpy answer to my explanation why I didn't want to pay it. I would have thought that would have been the opportunity to apologize and explain the delay. The food itself was quite average given the price."

Big Sunday roast (as always) The desert was questionable. The ratio of waffle and ice to rocky chocolate sauce was completely out. Service was a little slow when we sat on a table in the corner, but would still go again

Really lovely little pub tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Camberwell Road. The service was fantastic, great wine choice and the food was definitely above average. Quite pricey for a Sunday Roast but I loved the overal experience and would definitely return.

The Sunday roast at this restaurant is always great. However, the dessert I had (cinnamon waffle) was not as good. The proportions of waffle, ice cream, and chocolate sauce were off. The service was a bit slow since we were seated in a corner table, but I would still return.

Dinner with friends. Friendly young staff. Reasonably extensive menu, although one of the specials was finished by 8 o'clock. Good wine list. Food was good, although had lamb chop which was slightly over-cooked. Before 9 o'clock they suddenly dimmed the lights. What is it with restaurants wanting people to eat in gloom ? Second time happened to us in a week !
