"First of all they had lost our booking! Speedily remedied by taking us up to a rather soulless room upstairs. The young ladies waiting table were fine, good even. But the more senior lady (supervisor/manager? was unhelpful and rude in the way she answered a food question: “it is what it says on the menu, pork loin”. After a long wait for the standard Sunday Roast the food arrived. We all complained the whole plate was only lukewarm! The roast sirloin was good, a little too well cooked for my taste, but that is personal taste. The little jug of extra gravy a nice touch, good, tasty, if a little coarse, cabbage and excellent roast carrots. But the rest; cold tasteless hard Yorkshire, anonymous cubes of over cooked root veg, grossly overcooked cauli-cheese, non-crispy roast potatoes. Not what we expected, not what we had hoped for. Next they presented us with a bill that was over fifty percent bigger than it should have been! Padded out with items we hadn’t ordered, hadn’t consumed! And then no apology, just here is your revised bill. We will not be returning."

"I’m really sorry to share this, but the food was incredibly disappointing! We went out as a group of three to celebrate a birthday. One of the starters was cold in the middle and had to be sent back. My main dish was even worse—the chicken tasted off and was hard, and the potatoes in the sag aloo were also tough. As for the tarka dahl, it was completely tasteless and had a powdery texture. When I tried my partner’s dish, it tasted like curried lime pickle! The chapati was rock-solid. It’s really sad to say, but the evening was ruined, and at that point, we just wanted to go home instead of waiting for replacements. The service was excellent, but there should have been a bigger discount on the bill. Our special evening, which we were so excited about—especially after reading such rave reviews—was completely marred by the food. The service and atmosphere were great, but the food was not at all suitable for enjoying!"

"Having been here a few times, we decided to drop in for a sandwich on the way to the Norwich museum. We hadn’t booked but that wasn’t a problem. Given menus we choose and waited while others who came in after us had their orders taken. After 20 minutes or so we had our order taken and waited for our drinks to arrive. Another table got theirs first, so we asked the waitress if we could have ours. When our food eventually came out my toasted mushroom sandwich was stone cold, my husband had a fish finger bap which was Luke warm. It wasn’t very busy. The waitress asked if everything was ok and I asked if the toasted sandwich should be stone cold. She went away and on returning said yes mine was meant to be cold but the fish finger should be hot, I pointed out mine may as well been an ordinary sandwich. She offered a discount and gave us 15%. We accepted this and left feeling as if we were a nuisance. Won’t go back."

"What a great find this pub restaurant was! The food was absolutely amazing! We had a range of mains and deserts, it was all so nice. The roast dinner was especially good and there was so many different vegetables and sides! The food was warm (not hot), so it might be nice to serve on warm plates so that the food stays warm for longer. Also the restaurant wasn’t that warm to sit and eat in, but it definitely doesn’t take away from the top quality food. Five stars!"

"We dined at Cafe Savannah today, without much knowledge about Long Stratton or its dining options. However, we were fortunate to have chosen this cafe. Every aspect of the experience was authentic - from the warm welcome to the delicious freshly prepared food. The food was of top-notch quality, with both of us thoroughly enjoying the beef burgers we ordered as our main course. We found out that the burgers were sourced from a local butcher, which added to the overall satisfaction of our meal. The coffee was also bursting with flavor. Convenient parking was available right next to the cafe, making our visit even more enjoyable. Overall, it was definitely worth a visit, and if we ever find ourselves back in Long Stratton, we know exactly where to go for a delicious lunch. Thank you."
