The Cosy Club Salisbury

On Sunday night in Salisbury, dining options are limited. However, we stumbled upon a hidden gem and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food and cozy atmosphere. The staff was excellent and the prices were reasonable. We definitely plan on returning.

Having been let down by Zizzi who told us they didn't have our table booking, despite my father booking 6 weeks ago, we spent 10 minutes ringing around other restaurants in Salisbury. Cosy Club saved the day! They managed to squeeze us onto a table and serve us promptly to enable us to get to the pantomime. Customer service was brilliant the front of house and table staff couldn't have done more a complete opposite to Zizzi staff). The food was delicious. So glad we spent our money with Cosy Club rather than Zizzi, and we'd definitely return. Thank you for saving the evening.

Generally my wife and I enjoy Cosy Club for its menu, atmosphere and overall concept, so booked a table when meeting up with old friends in Salisbury. This is a mistake on a Saturday evening in December. When we arrived at 7.45pm the noise levels were incredibly high. Obviously a number of Christmas party groups were having a great time, but we wanted to catch up on news with our friends, and the chances of having a conversation without getting hoarse from shouting were zero. Please note that this is not a good place to get casual drinks. We booked a table for bar snacks and cocktails as part of our Christmas meal. Upon arrival, we were told you cannot sit in the restaurant if your not eating. We would not mind this if you were allowed to book a table in the bar which you are not. We ended up standing around waiting for a table in the bar, despite having booked in advance and while the restaurant had plenty of room for us. The staff seemed like they found this very irritating so be warned that even though the cocktails are very nice, this is not a good place to enjoy a cocktail after dinner.

My partner and I went to this restaurant for breakfast and it was amazing! The food was all cooked perfectly, although my partner's fried egg could have been a bit runnier. However, this small issue did not affect my overall rating. The scrambled eggs and hash browns were the highlights for me! We both ordered the classic breakfast and were pleasantly surprised - this is now our go-to breakfast spot. The lady who seated us and our waitress were both lovely and very sweet. The staff is always friendly whenever we visit. The atmosphere was fantastic and we left feeling very satisfied. I would definitely recommend this place.

Staff were lovely friendly and professional and it's a comfortable place to socialise. My husband had a burger which he enjoyed but my meal composed of sides was seriously awful. I had a side portion of Mac Cheese. This glutinous offering tasted of ... nothing no flavour whatsoever. I ordered the roast potatoes, which appeared to be boiled new potatoes. They were slightly damp and soft. I have never seen roast potatoes resembling these, which were rejected without a taste. The spinach accompanying this gourmet meal was delicious. The waiter refunded the potatoes gracefully. We finished our meal with a Baileys. This arrived in a large straight glass, no ice and it just about covered the base... Voir le carte

On Friday evening, I had a meal with a group at this restaurant. The food was hit or miss, nothing to write home about. Thankfully, the company of our group was enjoyable and the staff were great. The venue itself was lovely but quite noisy. It seems like no one considers acoustics when designing restaurants. I was shocked to see that I paid £34 for just one vegetarian course and a large and a medium glass of wine (plus service!). One of my friends ordered a chicken and avocado salad and was disappointed to receive a plate filled mostly with rocket and only tiny pieces of chicken and avocado. We came in for a lunch, as we just found out so bad news and I wanted to cheer us both up. We were waiting to be seen by the front booth for about 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. We were then told the only seat for food we could have was a couple of stools around the bar, because the main section was full. Even though there were plenty of seats, and upstairs was completely empty. We were treated so badly, and the wait time on our food took around 45 minutes, after ordering from the bar. The couple who came in after us, who presented themselves in Schofells etc, got seen to straight away and whisked to the main seating area. Sadly a good visit ruined by the rude manager. When we arrived we asked if we could have an extra chair we had booked for 4 but were 5 on arrival. She said they didn’t have any extra chairs understood it was my fault for only booking 4. We had two children with us so we said they could share one chair she wasn’t happy about this but let us in. As we sat the table next to us offered a spare chair which we gladly took the manager then came over and proceeded to tell me ‘I already told you that you can’t have a chair when that table leaves the next party needs that chair’. We said we understood and that we would give the chair back as soon as the next party arrives. They never did we had eaten... Voir le carte
