"The inside itself was classy, elegant and like a 5 star hotel. The lady who served us (I apologise I made a note of your name badge and it has totally left me) was down to earth, friendly, chatty, warm and a delight. She showed us to our table which had the gorgeous views to the rolling hills and brought us our drinks. The afternoon tea itself was the best I've ever had. The sandwiches were all tasty, but the homemade quiche and sausage rolls were another level. You could tell they were as fresh as they come and I could have had an afternoon tea of just those alone. As for the homemade scones and cakes, my boyfriend isn't usually a fan but he wolfed his down and couldn't praise them highly enough. We took a couple of cakes home as we were stuffed, and these lasted superbly as well. We then had some more coffees and as the sun had come out, we sat on the terrace and we were so relaxed, it was hard for us to finally leave. I could write so much more here, but in a nutshell, I have already spread the word to mine and my boyfriend's family. We are looking to arrange another visit soon and feel we have found a new special treat for us to enjoy. I would say, that as there is no menu for the afternoon tea on the website (it changes with the seasons and freshness of ingredients), to ask and make any allergies etc, known when booking as they had everything ready for when we arrived."

Not usual standard ..like my beef blue but not suitable as so rare for more mature people .lamb also extremely pink .very disappointed portions small will be a long while before i visit again

A small group of us (16 people) recently enjoyed afternoon tea at the restaurant. Everything – the cakes, sandwiches, and homemade sausage rolls – was absolutely delicious, and the staff were very pleasant and attentive. They also catered to gluten-free and vegetarian needs. we had a nice afternoon here for birthday yesterday. the food was excellent with a beautiful selection of homemade cakes and baked. the restaurant is in a beautiful location and we had such a relaxed afternoon. the staff was very friendly and attentive. it's the best afternoon I've had, and we'll definitely go back.
