"We started with chicken liver pâté, which was decent but on the small side. Unfortunately, the first two main courses we wanted to order—the fish dishes—were sold out, and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. That's simply poor planning. Our third option was a chicken and mushroom pie, which was more gravy than filling, with very little chicken. While it tasted okay, it was not worth the £18.50 price tag. When we asked for a wine menu, we were told there wasn’t one available. We decided on a bottle of Merlot, which was decent but overpriced for what it was. Our young waiter was attentive and apologetic about the sold-out dishes, which was appreciated. In the end, our bill came to just under £80 for a pretty average meal. It was our first outing for a meal in a long time, and we left feeling rather disappointed. Even during breakfast the next morning, our name was missing from the table reservation list, adding to the sense of disorganization. Overall, it wasn’t the best experience, compounded by a mix-up at check-in. All in all, it left us with a negative impression of the place."

It was open. I don't know why the open table let me a book.

Our meal was quite bland, and I wouldn't choose to eat here again.

The restaurant was closed when I arrived. I'm not sure why OpenTable allowed me to make a reservation.

Really enjoyed the breakfast but, even though we had booked a table for dinner, we walked out after viewing the menu due to the poor choices available and what was available we felt was overpriced.

we were not happy with the restaurant as it was closed and we were not told when we booked in the hotel, we have to say that it was closed. no apologies from the hotel, so we had to go to the harvested next door, were we a love?y meal

We were quite disappointed with the restaurant because it was closed when we arrived, and nobody informed us about it during our hotel booking. We showed up on time only to find out it was shut. The hotel staff didn't offer any apologies, so we ended up going to the Harvester next door, where we had a lovely meal.

The absence of ambiance wasn't due to any shortcomings on your part; it was simply a consequence of Covid precautions. The young man who waited on us was attentive without being overbearing, which was just right. We were the only patrons there (the three of us). The food was decent, and thanks to the "eat out to help out" initiative, it was quite affordable.

We started with chicken liver pâté, which was satisfactory but on the bland side. Unfortunately, our first two choices for main dishes were sold out—both of them fish options—despite the restaurant not being busy. This seems like a significant oversight. Our third choice was a chicken and mushroom pie, which lacked substance and flavor. It was priced at £18.50, which felt excessive for the quality we received. When we requested a wine menu, we were told there wasn't one available. We opted for a bottle of Merlot, which was good but overpriced. On a positive note, our young waiter was attentive and very apologetic about the sold-out dishes. In the end, the bill came to just under £80 for wh...

"From the outside, it looks like another tacky eatery in a street lined with tacky takeaways. Walk through the door and pleasantly surprised. A little deli counter, a back room then a garden. The garden overlooks a derelict abandoned overgrown garden. Not a problem, I am used to this in Athens. What is the problem, and I don’t see in Athens, tenants throwing rubbish out of their windows into the garden. It is ideal breeding ground for rats. The local environmental health should investigate, and if needed carry out enforcement action. To sit outside or not? Maybe too cool when the sun went in, and too hot if it came out as no shade. I decided to sit inside, near the back door. A red rose on the table is a neat touch. I was the only diner. Oh but we were busier earlier. Strange how I am always told, if you’d have been here when you weren’t here, we were busy. The menu was singurly uninspiring. Why panini’s? Everywhere does paninis. I have never understood why. Or pasta. The choice penne (which I don’t like), or spaghetti (which I dislike slightly less) I chose spaghetti Bolognese. It arrived seemingly quick. I was asked when I placed my order, did I wish for Parmesan cheese? It was added in the kitchen. Usually brought to and added at the table. Spaghetti Bolognese is not an Italian dish. It was an artificial dish with elements of North and South. The spaghetti mediocre at best, the Bolognese sauce excellent. I was going to leave but decided to stay. I chose tiriamasiu for dessert. Coffee, Illy, no thanks. For coffee walk to Madame Waffle or Coffee Aroma. I visited a couple of weeks ago, the previous week I found closed."
