"For a city laughing like me; most of the island of man feels like a hidden gem and the boatyard is excellent among these gems. Unfortunately, my experience with fish restaurants is missing, but this restaurant inspired me to find new seafood experiences. We had lobsters, plaice, 'kings', squids and crabs over a few courses and we were open in heaven. The price for such fine food seemed to be very reasonable (because the prices on the island are much higher than on the mainland) and the cherry on the summit was the service: the staff seemed really happy to have us what we found unfortunately, very rarely after unlocking. We look forward to our next visit when we come next to the island!"

The food is lovely. The service is good. My only grip is it is very noisy.but I like a quiet life.but for me it's the best on the Island.

The food is exceptional, and the service is wonderful. I highly recommend the Man Queenxie pancake star and the pan-roasted plaice with queen main.

Fantastic restaurant! I went in search of Queenie Scallops and ended up discovering an amazing menu filled with delicious offerings. This is definitely a top spot to dine in Peel, Isle of Man. Voir le carte

Great food in a great setting. Price is a bit on the higher side but well worth it. We didn't have a reservation but thankfully were accommodated for. Probably one of the best seafood restaurants I've been to.

Went for lunch for my partners birthday. The food was incredible and the staff are amazing, asked for a special birthday note with my partners desert to wish him happy birthday, a candle was added to his desert and the staff sang happy birthday. Amazing surprise and really above and beyond. Thank you so much.

Great ambience and friendly staff. Pickle pot with mussels and scallops was zesty and generous, not something I've tried before but will order it again for sure. Seafood chowder was enjoyable with a nice smoky flavour from the ham. Fish finger bap was fresh and served with lettuce in an excellent bun, probably my only criticism was that it could have used some more tang (which I remedied by asking for a lemon). **** Mary was perfect. Overall I will certainly be returning to this excellent restaurant at the next opportunity. Voir le carte

Superb Food ! We had three Courses, my absolute Favourite being the Queenie Pancake Starter. The Fish Pie was to die for, a cocktail Menu where you are spoilt for Choice, Mocktails very good, we also had a Gluten Free Diner which was no problem. Very attentive service and a lovely atmosphere. We will reccomended to friends. I was also delighted to find the Restaurant featured in a Cook Book I bought this morning, The Island Kitchen Volume 2 and hey presto there was the recepie for Queenie Pancakes! Thank you. We will be back at some point.

I was really looking forward to the meal at the Boatyard having heard so much about it. Was with 7 others on a Wednesday night and were asked to order in advance which was fine. My starter of smoked salmon was ok bur the main seafood gratin was such a disappointment. Completely dry and with no sauce i managed less than half. No waiters checking up on us during the meal (both salt mills had run out) and no comeback when i pointed out my main was inedible. What a shame. Others did fair better so I'll give 3 starts but i won't be rushing back update thanks for the reply Boathouse, i had not realised the gratins were deducted from the bill thank you

"So, we had booked one of Allentown’s pods for our evening meal some time ago, opting for a pod as we had our hound with us, the establishment having a no dogs policy. Fair enough. When we arrived in the pouring rain, the manager told us in no uncertain terms that due to the rain her staff would not be serving food in the pods and that our dog would have to stay in the car as the dog going inside “would upset the locals”. We said this was not an option. The way this was put across by the manager can only be described as hostile. We were told 5hat if the dog misbehaved we would be told (not asked) to leave. Had we not prepaid a deposit for the seafood platter, we would have turned around there and then. We were put on a perfectly acceptable table, served by a slightly over-compensating and embarrassed waitress and had a very tasty meal. One drink, no starters no dessert and a hasty exit followed as our evening had been spoiled. Absolutely shocking and shabby customer service. Purely because of this, I rate one trip adviser blob. If I could rate zero blobs I would. Dog owners beware and take heed of this tale. It was not our fault it was precipitating down; if there was a problem us having a dog then we should have been called beforehand. There was no respect for us as customers and we will never darken their door again. Finally, the food was great. But the manager left a very sour taste that we cannot shift."
