"I have been shopping at the Chalet Bakery for years and have used their cafe lot of times. The bread is outstanding! It is proper bread without the nasty bits that supermarkets put in. It keeps its shape and tastes of bread. The sausage rolls...are some of the best around, as are the pasties (Cornish is a family favourite). Their pastries are delicious too, especially the doughnuts and raisin loaves. During lockdown they have provided a fantastic service, in addition to keeping their staff safe. I cannot praise them enough. Great service too, always smiling and happy to help. Well done and Thank you for being there for us during these strange time."

I have been getting my bread here for years, but throughout the recent lockdown they have surpassed themselves. Remaining open (whilst reduced opening) they have been so positive, friendly and helpful. The bread is fantastic, a real treat at the moment. I can highly recommend...their bread, fruit loaf, pasties...well all of it really. The cafe was fantastic, I am looking forward to having breakfast there again soon. Voir le carte

We live round the corner and have only good things to say about the bread but not so long ago a loaf went form £1.50 to £1.80. A massive leap but was prepared to pay itfor the quality and assumed that would be the price...rise for a long time. Just seen it's gone up again £1.90! Lovely bread but no better than the multigrain at Sainsburys for £1.30. Unless I want fresh for a sandwich treat that day I can't justify £1.90 for a loaf.

the jam doughnuts of the chalets have always been simple the best." no longer. last Saturday I bought a jam doughnut and a jam tart. I don't exaggerate when I say there was only a small point jam in the donut. incredible, how... can you do that to me? also the baked of the tart was baked. I've heard from the winery that we have new owners of the chalets. if this is true a word of consulting her game. this is the first time that I have ever been disappointed with the chalet.

"Was sadly disappointed by this place, Squerryes of Westerham, its estate and winery conjures up history, elegance and quality. There is no I quality here, in fact its more of an industrial estate than a beautiful estate, the staff are badly trained and the front...of house manager is as absent as someone on strike. We saw a poor member of staff drop a full tray of food and drinks on customers, the manager looked and hey presto he was absent and off rather than assist the poor young chap and apologise to the guests for the drinks and food down them. Now for our food, for the prices we paid its poor value. Mozzarella that was too hard (not fresh) and lacklustre potted shrimps. My wife did enjoy the mussels for main course but the sauce lacked flavour, my steak £36 ! was not cooked to my order, very dry and chewy, the chips and salad were good. So that starters and main course for two people , two small glasses of wine and two half pints of beer £124.30, I thought we were in London for a minute. This could be a great place if staff training in and outside the kitchen were improved and proper management installed and better value food. We had a wonky table also no amounts of cardboard could solve but that was good enough for the restaurant not fixing our table properly. Reading the reviews management only replies to positive reply’s , wish I had read the reviews before booking."
