Incredible food, wonderful atmosphere, and outstanding service. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Prices are reasonable. Both the indoor seating and the terrace offer fantastic views. The drinks menu is impressive, featuring an extensive wine list. Dogs are welcome. Highly recommended! Service: Dine-in Meal type: Lunch.

We had an early dinner here this evening on our way home after a walk on the moors with two fidgety kids. The staff were friendly and super accommodating. "In view of this pub is located in rural devon, surrounded by agricultural and has a lot on the menu for the omnivorous, the quality and the range of their vegan options is very welcoming. We often serve this place and have never been disappointed with food or service. If you are a fan of desserts, you are ready to order with your starter and main, as some of the desserts are kept frozen and need time to defroze, but don't let that go, they are worth it. It is very refreshing to see something interesting as sorbet, fruit salad or vegan vanilla ice cream on the dessert menu! We were here so often, we would welcome a variety of elections, but it is all delicious, so we cannot complain! Be warned: it is a very popular pub, I would strongly recommend booking."

"£23.85 for two cheese scones plus cheese and chutney, two hard and dry plain scones with jam and cream and a pot of tea for two. This was between a friend and I, not each. The cheese scones were really tasty, the cheese portion sizeable and the chutney very nice but not in any way worth almost ten pounds (and tea was extra! . The plain scones were hard and dry. I did tell the waitress they were dry but no member of staff followed up on this. I was with a friend who I was supposed to be treating but I left feeling utterly, utterly ripped off and embarrassed. I understand from other reviews that they have in the past sold Dartmoor pony meat. Had I known this beforehand, I would never have set foot in the place, nor will I again."

"We returned to Robertsons after a previous visit 3 yrs ago , remembering how good it was we were keen to return. The decor had changed and is very nice , comfortable and colourful. Service was great , very friendly and helpful. We ordered a Mediterranean pizza and a meat feast pizza along with a side salad , everything was delicious, nice crispy base on the pizzas and plenty of toppings, we cleared our plates and will definitely be back !"

"taylors has been found by chance today and decided to have the sunday roast. there are 2 courses, so I had the suppe of the day and the bark roast. the suppe was wintery, served with broth. both were a bit bland, the suppe improved after adding a generous amount of salt. the roast itself was in portions as they can see in the pictures, although at the short end with the engraving, I asked for more and was charged an additional £1. the food was delicious. it needed some effort to cut the meat, but that is because the table knife would have been easier with a steak knife. overall a good experience and the personal was friendly."

"Really lovely Sunday night curry for 4. Delicious and succulent chicken curries, poppadoms and naan with service above and beyond. Had left a jumper in there and on our walk back to our car down the high street we see a member of staff driving around looking for us to give it back! Had a very lovely evening and would definitely recommend it to anyone in Tavistock"
