"Vegan review: I stayed here at the Marriott on Saturday with a group of friends so we visited this cafe after our pamper session on both Saturday and Sunday. Browsing the menu I couldn't see many vegan options. When I asked the staff member if it was possible to remove the honey roasted squash on the superfood salad to make it vegan, he said no as it had already been prepared. He did offer to make vegetable fajitas but I left it and got a millionaire cake instead. He gave me 2 for the price of 1! They were yummy. The following day, I asked for the granola with alternative milk, they had almond, soya and coconut I opted for soya and without the dairy yogurt. It was a great portion and very tasty. I also asked for avocado on toast and had asked earlier about vegan butter, they checked but didn't have any. After the food had arrived, he brought vegan butter over from the other restaurant, I thought this was great service. Whilst he was there, I commented on how nice the millionaire slices were from the day before and he brought over 2 more, giving them on the house, a lovely act of kindness."

busy sports bar with golfers; lovely food though; reasonably priced; drinks little expensive but is in a Marriott hotel

Always love having coffee and some lunch here. Nice chilled atmosphere. Large TVs usually showing sport but descretely in the background. Super staff and reasonably priced.

Did was good service was good but this is a sports bar and should be treated as this. So all in all I would say very good for this type of bar. Excellent and tasty burger. Nachos were very good but may be bigger than you are expecting.

Last week, I purchased a large cappuccino, large Pepsi, and two cookies for my son and me, which came to around £8.50. This week, I got us a small cappuccino, small Pepsi, and one Twirl bar, and it ended up costing the same amount as last week. Go figure.

I recently had breakfast for four at this restaurant for £62 and it was the worst experience I've had in a long time. The food was overcooked and the service was nonexistent. You can get better food and drinks at Asda or Morrison. We didn't even finish our meal because it was so terrible.

This restaurant serves a 5-star price breakfast but unfortunately only offers 1-star quality. The scramble eggs and omelette were overcooked, and the bacon and mushroom were dry. I could have made a better breakfast at home. If I had known, I would have gone to Morrison's for breakfast instead.

We were staying at the hotel and originally visited the other bar but as there was zero atmosphere decided to visit here. Initially smell of paint was rather overwhelming. Staff were bored and disinterested. Told no food as after 9 which is poor and we had not been advised when we indicated in the other bar this was our plan. Couldn't offer cocktails either. Left after one drink and wouldn't return.

A disappointed local. Would like to be more positive but unfortunately the food I had this weekend was nothing like the very pleasant surroundings.The quality was distinctly value meal ............but even if the food was considerably cheaper it still offers little appeal. Frankly, I 'm stunned this establishment can 't do better. I guess they rely on passing guests. My meal simply reminded me why I haven 't eaten there for years. Not quite sure how they get away with the blatant gap between quality and price/
