"was too cold to sit on the terrace, so it went in. I wanted a meal, but friend just wanted a few tapas. the waiter said we didn't have any tapas at a table just at the bar. the bar was pretty busy, so about. we were at the table. my friend just ordered a crisp and I ordered a coffee and the meatballs, (a lbondigas) with fries. when they arrived, the fries were dry and schriveled up and the meatballs were cold. they sent back and said it was cold. after about five minutes it appeared again, obviously only microwave, so that the meatballs were hot, but the fries were now completely unusable. said the waiter to cancel the order and bring the bill. after another waiting the court appeared again....same meatballs, but new pommes. we refused and repeated our request to the bill. €5.20 for a small beer and a coffee. such a shame because this was a good restaurant earlier. perhaps they had a bad day because it seemed that there was a lot of fear in the kitchen and behind the bar, but they need to play their game, there are so many restaurants here and not many tourist post individual restrictions"

an excellent place to enjoy the scurial gastronomy. if you visit the village you have to go for a drink on the terrace overlooking the monastery. Perfect treatment for staff, special mention to naim, carlitos and damián.

late afternoon we advised to see the palast and the valley of the fallen tomorrow. great recommendation of the hotel owner for a restaurant with kitchen open all day. really enjoyed the meat sirloin and the calamares, not to forget the las torrijas for dessert....Excellent service!

The good side is that they are open all day, while most od the other places close in the afternoon. We took Robo de codo, which tasted fine, and the meatballs as the wither said it was their specialty. The meatballs were extremely heavy and...the sauce seemed as the one you buy in the supermarket. We initially wanted some rice dishes, but as the waiter said it would took 30 minutes to prepare rice, we opted for meat... which we waited again for half an hour!
