Stromness Chinese Takeaway

Utterly vile. Two meals bought and dropped straight into the bin once tried. I've never done that before.

We had a takeaway from here over the weekend, the food was really good, an excellent choice of meat free alternatives. Prawn sesame toast is a must.

Awful! They say they are authentic, but no way. Mushroom Curry so watery. I asked locals what they thought during trip in August and just said awful.. Avoid Voir le carte

This place was awful. Hands down the worst food we have ever had, I wouldn’t feed it to my dog. Fried rice had no egg, no flavor, noodles were greasy and the Mongolian duck had a strange, soapy flavor. Yuck.

Visited here on holiday and Al I can say us Define food! I don’t get all the cats, the food was tasty and the service was very quick! I got spare ribs and sweet and sour chicken and both were not greasy, well cooked, and delivered in a timely fashion.

It was so bad it went in the bin. I wouldn’t use this takeaway again under any circumstances. King prawn fried rice was bland with only a trace of peas. The chicken satay was inedible. The chicken was slimy with thick skin attached; one piece was pink in the middle. The satay sauce was thin and bitter. If I’d been given this in a restaurant I would have sent it back. Voir le carte

This is the worst Chinese food I have ever had, my husband had sweet and sour chicken which was 70% batter,thick and greasy,the chips were frozen, mine was meant to be chicken chow mein but it was more akin to a game of spot the chicken and onion,the saving grace was the curry sauce I ordered as without my meal would have been a box of dry noodles. Give it a wide berth folks

We decided to try this restaurant for dinner since the other dining options in Stromness were either closed or fully booked, making it our only choice. Unfortunately, we found the meat in both of our dishes to be chewy. Given the opportunity, I would not return. Additionally, it is important to note that they only accept cash as payment. While the sign specified "cash only, no cheques," there was no mention of cards. Nevertheless, they strictly adhere to a cash-only policy.

The standard of the food has deteriorated in the past few weeks, using an approximation of chicken and spinning out with more veg, the chicken is soft, rubbery and tasteless , i am sure it is mechanically formed chicken that is being used hence the issues. This used to be a decent takeaway place but standards have fallen, likely due to high inflation at the moment, I would rather pay more and get decent food than sub standard reformed chicken. i will give beef or pork a try next time to find out if any better Voir le carte
