Smiths Of Ongar - Carte

Second time I've been to Smiths and it won't be the lastGreat food, great service and just a really nice place.

Was amazing, first time eating fish and I must say, I have fallen in love with fish, brilliant staff and amazing food

The food was of high quality and beautifully presented. The staff was welcoming and provided efficient service. It was a delightful birthday dinner experience. We look forward to coming back!

Our experience at Smith's Restaurant was fantastic for our special annual celebration. The large team of servers, bar staff, and front-of-house personnel provided excellent service, and there was an amazing selection of food. I appreciated how seriously they took allergies, which made me feel very grateful. The food was wonderful! I can't wait for another visit very soon.

Amazing food a high price which we don’t mind paying, but the service did not match up. Some very young inexperienced waiters/ waitresses. Drinks not carried for us from the upstairs bar, downstairs to our table. We were asked to give one of them our napkins before we had eaten our dessert?! Very bizarre. This place is so over priced ,yes the food is ok but not value for money Felix in warley is half the price much better atmospere and more friendly staff also i went there as a group of 4 people we had starters mains deserts and coffee plus 2 bottles of wine and 3 beers all for £155 where as we had only starters and mains (not very big) 1 bottle of wine 3 half beers and 3 coffees and it came to £277 . A total rip off wont be going back

We had a fantastic evening celebrating my Mum’s birthday, the service from the moment we walked in the door was exceptional. The staff were very attentive but not too over the top. The meal itself was fantastic, we all thoroughly enjoyed our mains and we even got a special birthday dessert for my Mum. The wait between courses wasn’t too long and there was never any real delay on food or drinks. I haven’t got a single bad word to say about Smiths, we will be coming back again!

we were very cramped on a table, others around us had 4 on the same size table, we had 6, we were sat by the door going up to the bar and the door was frequently opened to the outside, which was -2 digress so chilly. The chairs were brought in from the outside when more were needed, my chair was freezing. which made me feel very cold. the staff did shut the door to the outside but when ever anyone went up to the bar the cold whooshed in. The food was as ever lovely, and we had a nice time. but the table was too small for 6 of us and it was very cold. It was a shame as we were celebrating my sons 18th birthday and we didn't want to feel like that. Voir le carte
