"The Slug and Lettuce is a chain restaurant located in the Montpellier Quarter in Harrogate. Situated in a charming old house, it overlooks the Montpellier Hill Gardens. It is a great spot for a quick snack, afternoon coffee, or a glass of wine later in the evening. They occasionally set up a few tables outside, but the summer weather in Harrogate can be unpredictable. For larger groups, they offer a private room on the first floor for special occasions or corporate events. The menu features classic English dishes as well as some Oriental options like stuffed paprika and curry rice. perfect location. visited here on Saturday. we booked the floorless brunch. great value for money. 3 curses! we will book again in the new year! all employees, where amazing. special mention of catherine. so inviting.

eating was great and loved the customer service given. the manager there was really friendly and very welcoming that I would come back alone! the temperature in the inner was only underpass. it was quite cold and our table was right at the door, so did not feel relaxed when I had to keep my coat.

in a beautiful location in the center of harrogate. we visited this bar/rest many times. there is a good choice on the menu and eating was always very good. it is not easy for the personal in these difficult times due to the kovid, but they were all brilliant and made our visit pleasant and we felt perfectly safe. special mention to dean who took care of us. worth a visit. "We booked a table for valentines day and on arrival we were greeted nicely and shown the valentines specials and to our table. It is a small place but was very busy, a great atmosphere. We were given menus and a dishes deal for menu, so we went for that as there was good selection. The food was delicious, the wine was easy drinking, and the service was top notch. When we got the bill the deal was not added as a reduction as expected, and when asked about it the server said that menu was a lunchtime menu. Fair enough, it was written in small print on the menu so we paid full price for each dish. I'd still say it was worth the money, and I suppose it was our mistake for not reading the menus with more detail. However why would you give dinner customers a lunch menu if it was not on offer. We felt a bit swindled but hey, it was still worth it and everything was great! We will be coming here again!"

"all those people who leave 1 star (or low star reviews) have either extremely high expectations or just have to be out to harm the call of a gem of a sandwich shop. I stopped yesterday, was late for lunch to my surprise and joy that they were still open, was a waiting queue to eat, so I might have been happy that they thought they would do 1 more order. I had the cheese-cutney sandwich couldn't resist the Scotch egg with black pudding. the Scotch egg was phenomenal, black pudding mixed with the sausage meat, a soft egg yolk practically still runny, which I really did not expect to add only to the already large aromene, the egg comes with a small pot homemade brown sauce (ketchup is an option, but I prefer brown soße) also the soße is a normal but it is a manifestation, it is a the sandwich was ineffective, thick-cut cheese on a homemade roll with homemade chutney (I suppose when everything else was made home) filled with fresh salad, I am curious what the difference between this is the ploughman’s, as it was in the round a ploughmans sandwich. the brot, cheese salad were all fresh taste amazing, the chutney transformed it, was like a cross between chutney salsa like the brown sauce was more sweet without much flavor, but really a great amount taste to what was possibly the best sandwich I had ever had! well made youngs, eating is great a try worth. reasonably also consider that it is the center of harrogate."

"Harrogate. What can I say. People here will put up with the average and pay a lot for it too. Well, you don't have to now. Nothing mind-blowing happening here but the pizza is adequate and the price is better than anywhere else so why bother buying a big pile from Bambino's whilst fighting off the drinks when you can have a relatively civilised conversation and a pizza that doesn't taste like shoe. Well done."

"I recently visited an independent café on Cold Bath Road that serves delightful brunch, cakes, and pastries. The staff were charming and clearly focused on providing excellent service. My wife ordered the eggs Benedict, which she described as first-class, while I opted for a bacon, Brie, and cranberry granary roll that was simply stunning. The café also offers excellent fresh orange juice and high-quality coffee. Located in the up-and-coming Harrogate district, there are plenty of new bars and award-winning restaurants to explore. I was particularly impressed by the owner, who recommended the nearby Pranzo Italian restaurant, which I also had the pleasure of trying."

"Service terrible was told we had come at a bad time as it was staff change over. 4.30 on a Sunday afternoon pre booked and the restaurant was dead, in fact apart from some very drunk people at the bar we were the only ones in there. Offerd 1 drink throughout our whole visit, table left uncleared, service very slow never even came to ask if our food was ok. Eaten here several times, never experienced this. Bit of a cheek to add service charge to the bill when it was so poor hence we declined to pay this charge."
