"We pick up a child from Blackland FArm at least twice a year it will be much more enjoyable now we’ve found this little gem. Oat milk cappachino, dairy latte and late brekkie while we waited for our call having walked round the reservoir in the forest. I had the ubiquitous smashed advocado on sourdough. A surprise to have eggs fried rather than poached when the arrived but tasty all the same. Hubby made a late switch to the full English and loved it. As did the dog when presented with a leftover sausage from the kitchen. Lovely service, and really enjoyed the food. They had an art/garden trail which seemed super popular we’d love to have stayed for that. Almost can’t wait for our next Blacklands FArm pick up now!"

The food is very good quality, healthy and tasty, good choices and lots of non meat options and gluten free if you need it. Good sized portions. You can get take away drinks and cake too.

We loved this place. We have been in a few of this typ. And they have all been good. We had a lovely breakfast meal. Not cheap ingredients at all, but quality ingredients. A good wholesome breakfast and great coffee too. will definately go back.

I loved this place and will definitely return. Warm, welcoming atmosphere with delicious organic food. My coffee was perfect and Ploughmans lunch was fresh and very good value. But it’s the atmosphere and the staff that make this place really special. Voir le carte

I love this gem of a cafe. Local, welcoming, bright and airy with great food and service. Caters really well for vegan and gluten free diets and has live music on a Sunday. It is warm and friendly. I always feel happy here. Go and enjoy. You won't regret it.

We stopped off here after visiting the Priest House nearby. Very clean and modern, and the teas and coffees were excellent. The range of cakes was a little on the small side, however, and a wider choice would be nice. On the positive side, it's all organic and health-focussed.

Popped in here on the way to Sheffield Park. Delicious coffee and the menu looks very tempting. We would certainly return for perhaps a meal. It certainly seems very popular with people passing by especially cyclists. It does not have any parking but it is easy to park on the street. Voir le carte

Have been here 2 or 3 times with our toddler for brunch because they do an amazing eggs and bacon on toast fresh, tasty and all cooked from quality ingredients. Staff are nice, prices are reasonable and service is quick. Nice little balcony out the back and a good little box of toys for kids!

I thought I'd been to all the local cafes and tried every single Full English fry up in the area but then I stumbled upon this place. A really welcoming little cafe with a welcoming log burner and sofa area. I had the Full English, obviously, which was delicious. It all tastes very fresh and while it isn't the biggest menu I suspect every dish is equally as fresh and contains high quality ingredients. I'll be back to try the other items on the menu!

"We go to Gravetye 3 or 4 times a year if we can and have been going for many many years over the tenures of several owners. It 's always a complete joy, and the current owner has done a fabulous job of getting the right people in, both inside and out. Tom Coward, the Head Gardener (ex. Dixter) has a vision and a long term plan that make continual visits over an extended period a joy every time we visit we are surprised by the continual changes we learn so much and the garden staff are super helpful and willing to discuss what they 're up to and why. The amazing oval massive kitchen garden that supplies the hotel is a source of wonderment and not to be missed. A visual and culinary feast. We 've never stayed there as we live reasonably close, but have eaten in both the old and new dining rooms many times. The new dining room sits harmoniously between the wings of the manor and although a very modern glass and steel construction, the inclusion of a fabulous antique (and uneven) parquet floor (ex. some french chateau) softens the feel and acoustics, making the room almost intimate. The floor to ceiling windows bring you right into the garden, even in the foulest of weather it 's a triumph of design. Then there 's the food. Apart from the presentation, which is exquisite, the flavours and textures always bring a broad grin, however grumpy I am! This is absolutely first rate British cuisine; the kitchen under Head Chef George Blogg is to be commended, as are the garden staff producing the freshest of produce. I occasionally try to photograph the plates, but invariably find I 've forgotten that rather crass move and have just launched in! Must also mention the front of house staff. Perfectly presented and mannered, they know exactly the boundary between staff and guest and make you feel completely comfortable and relaxed there is nothing stuffy or obsequious about Gravetye everything is pitched just spot on and nothing is too much trouble. We were there today for a birthday treat, but will be back again soon for a post family wedding get together. Cannot recommend too highly just an excellent few hours, whatever the weather. Walkability: Lots of paths. The lower areas are easy for those with limited mobility, however it might be tricky to get up to the kitchen garden if you 're not great on your feet. Food drinks: See my review."
