Semedo's Jewellery Quarter

I love dining at this restaurant, whether it's eating in or getting takeout. The food is excellent. Tonight, I placed a takeout order for me and some coworkers and the food was ready in just 15 minutes.

We ordered two steaks and a burger. We can't fault the food, it was very tasty and the portion size was massive. We didn't wait too long and the service was great. The waitress was very friendly and welcoming.

I paid extra for sweet potato fries but they never arrived. When I called to inquire about it, I was told there was a glitch with the ordering system and they couldn't be bothered to make us some or refund us. It was a completely unacceptable experience. Voir le carte

Was alright. Steak was chewy and hard to cut up even with a steak knife, its cos they put frozen steaks on their grill, they should defrost it and then grill it. Waitress apologised but anyone visiting knows for next time now... right? Would I visit again, probably would but would avoid steaks!

I have found that the marinated chargrilled chicken at this restaurant is the best I have ever had. I now make it a weekly stop during my commute. The staff is lovely and the music, if you enjoy kizomba/semba genres, is great. The eating area is comfortable and nicely decorated, creating a pleasant atmosphere and an enjoyable experience. I look forward to visiting again next week.

Really bad experience, im Portuguese and I know what a bitoque is , asked for 2 bitoques and it came with a small stake it was the same stake cut in half for 2 dishes, the taste Is far from the original, they should change the name of this it's not a bitoque and for 15 pounds it's a joke if your portuguese and want a Portuguese dish don't have high hopes and just go somewhere else don't believe these people Voir le carte

Ordered as a take away, lets just say it was complete utter waste of money. i ordered chicken mushroom stroganoff (see photos) i never came across tomato peri2 sauce being poured all over it and it was peri2 spice!! ordered a cookie dough, but apparently to them its a chocolate brownie!??? rang the restaurant , lets just say it was a waste of my breathe, nothing was done. Basically i spent £25 for half peri2 chicken, well at least they know what peri2 chicken is. avoid if you dont a dissapointment.

A very disappointing experience. Arrived Saturday evening and the place only had a few customers, that should have been our first clue. Service was really slow and we waited 30 mins before we got our food. We were originally told it would be 15 mins. No apologies made by waitress for delay. What made it worse was the chicken came out luke warm and when we complained, the waitress just apologised. Food was basic, sauces were inedible. To top it all off they don’t take card which speaks volumes in itself. Only reason we tried this place was because of the location. We will not be returning and we certainly wouldn’t recommend. Run by amateurs.

Booked a table for 8.00pm, didn’t get get a table until 9pm. So thought must be a good place to eat as it’s packed. (Only packed because of 50% government scheme). The ordered food and sat and waited for 1hr before we got our drinks then waited a further 30mins for food. Had 2 young toddlers with us (poor kids falling asleep waiting for food). Then they bought out hot and spicy food for toddlers so sent it back. Complaint many times to manager but they don’t care. They only reason we stayed is we wasn’t going to get any other food as it was too late and they took payment first. The was a party of 11 of us and most of us had upset stomachs.
