"This wonderful Bistro is nestled among others but it’s worth seeking out. Just 5 minutes from Piazza Maggiore providing the most delicious pasta dishes as well as others. I first ate here pre Covid and it was delicious so on a return visit I sought it out again and I’m so glad I did . The staff are fluent in English but we’re patient with me practicing my Italian. The menu is on one of those QR codes . At first I thought it would be a nightmare but it was easy and if I can do it anyone can. Bologna is famous for tortellini and the tortellini in brodo did not disappoint. There were many Italians eating here also which is always a good sign when you’re abroad. Lovely Italian bread with oil and balsamic vinegar from up the road in Modena. Really the food is amazing here but the staff are the real diamonds in this bistro. They are happy, which is plain to see and that transfers to the customers. Service is quick, professional and helpful given with smiles and nice chat. Little extras make it special like home made crisps with your aperitif and bread in paper bags. I’d highly recommend visiting here during your stay."

Un pranzo veloce in tardo orario di pranzo...tardi del tipo alle 15. Ma in ogni caso anche se i ragazzi addetti alle tavole erano ormai stanchi...(tantissima gente a Bologna) il servizio è stato buono e le pietanze fresche di cucina. Veloci e simpatici.

We stopped for drinks and ended up booking for dinner that evening as the menu (and reviews) looked great. We started with some antipasti and went on to eat a plate of pasta each the tortellini were incredible. A definite recommendation and wonderful staff too!

Ho festeggiato qui la festa di laurea con una ventina di persone. Il personale è stato super disponibile e la qualità e quantità del cibo era alta (inoltre hanno provvisto a soluzioni alimentari ottime per vegetariani e vegani senza problemi)! Super consigliato! Voir le carte

The food at San Martino Bistrot was lovely. We had Tagliatelle Bolognese and the Tortellini in Brodo. Both were delicious. We had also been searching in Bologna for a place to have lunch without a reservation we checked about 4 or 5 other restaurants, and all were full, but they were able to accomodate us at San Martino Bistrot.

Sono stay qui un sabato alle per un aperitivo. Siamo stati all'interno previo controllo del green pass, apprezzando la diligenza dei gestori al riguardo. In alternativa un comodo e riscaldato dehor. Grande attenzione per la pulizia sia del locale, in generale, sia del tavolo. Buono anche l'aperitivo sia in versione alcolica sia analcolica. Gradevoli gli stuzzichini di accompagnamento.
