Lovely shop and staff.. Food is ok, very expensive though and sausages are terrible quality. Loads better butties in local area for a fraction of the price :

Friendly staff, fantastic food. Big variety, with sweet options, jacket potatoes, and both cold and hot Sandwiches (we went on a Saturday and they have some hot specials too) 100% would recommend

We enjoyed quiche and fries at this restaurant with our dog, who was allowed as long as she kept us in line! The food was fresh and locally sourced. It seems to be a popular spot for takeout, but there are also a few small tables and stools for dining in. Voir le carte

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely lunch at Samuel's Cafe in Stocksbridge. Everything was delicious, beautifully cooked and fresh. Fantastic cakes. Very friendly helpful staff. Some limited parking available just up the road (or in Fox Valley). We will definitely return when next in Stocksbridge.

Great food, fresh and delicious and sourced as locally as possible. Lovely owner who always remembers us and friendly cheerful staff. Supporting local artists and charities by selling little gifts and cards, the shop is interesting to look round too. Granddaughter always pesters to go, she loves it!

If you need a quick bite on the go it's easy to reach from Fox Valley, but overpriced and the food is poor quality. I've tried twice now, hoping the second time would be an improvement, but won't be returning. A shame as the gifts and interior of the business have potential, but the food itself could be improved greatly. Voir le carte

We frequent this restaurant regularly because the food is always delicious and reasonably priced. The staff are attentive and accommodating, and they make an effort to support local businesses and use locally sourced ingredients. There is the option to dine indoors or outdoors, and they also have a pleasant garden room. I highly recommend this restaurant.

What can I say about this gem of a cafe. We visit every week whilst working in Stocksbridge. We are always made to feel so welcome as soon as we walk through the door. Home cooked food is always served piping hot by extremely friendly staff. There are always specials on the board and hard to resist cakes too. We look forward to our visits every week. Keep up the fantastic work everyone. It’s always an absolute pleasure to see you all.

I can't understand how anyone could give this cafe a 2-star review. My family has been coming to Samuel's Kitchen almost every week for the past 6 years. Either our taste buds are off, or the negative reviews are from people trying to tarnish the reputation of a great cafe. Today, while enjoying our lunch, we overheard a worker being told by his friend that ordering a LARGE pork sandwich might be a challenge. 15 minutes later, he asked for a bag to take half of it home. The portions are generous and we have always had delicious food and good value here. If you don't like it, go somewhere else and let the regulars and newcomers enjoy their meals. Voir le carte
