"If you are walking down the Ku'damm with the rest of the tourists it is worth checking out the side streets, which are surprisingly residential with a wide range of restaurants catering to the Berliners and not just tourists. Falafel Salam is a favourite haunt of a friend of mine who lives one street down and I have been there a couple of times with him. It is a very narrow shop with four tables outside in the summer months. They have a very good shavarma - fresh ingredients and not over salty or garlicky. The meat on the squewer also looks very reassuring unlike a great many kebab shops in Berlin. I also tried the sandwich with lamb sausages which was excellent and a little bit different. I haven't found it so easy to find really good turkish kebabs in Berlin but shavarma places are springing up everywhere and all of them I have tried have been good. Salam is still high on my list."

Cozy interior, great falafel, the tabouleh was alright. We sat down to eat, but lots of people came in to take away, so it must be a popular place in the area.

Tiny little place - but a god find for a quick meal. You can watch them shaping and frying the falafels right behind you - and get a sandwich that is piping hot and delicious.

dishes with abundant food, homemade and quite good price. we recommend the falafel and the hummo. ideal if you want to eat something fast. The only glue is that the place is very small. Voir le carte

If you're going to the Kaiser Wilhelm church, you'll look at this very small café with the Middle East kitchen. Falafel, haloumi, iran, vegetables are fresh and local. I came here twice in the 301s, and every time I'm very happy.

A very small narrow outlet on a side street, but only a 100 steps from the entrance of hotel Steinberger. Has a traditional Lebanese menu, English language skills of the owner are just average but you will not be unhappy with your shawarma and falafel which are very reasonably priced and nicely spiced.
