This restaurant is a little gem in an otherwise ordinary high street. The food is always good. The menu is extensive. Food is tasty and the staff are cheerful and helpful. All round good place

While the exterior may be unassuming, this restaurant on the main street is hard to miss. It is a spacious and clean cafe with a great menu, delicious food, and attentive staff who are eager to provide excellent service.

I am never disappointed visiting this place. Clean and with good atmosphere this place offering outstanding service and tasty food. Well done Rowans keep up with good work. My favorite stop for food and drink with friends.x Voir le carte

I am new to the area and stumbled upon this amazing restaurant after trying a few disappointing places. What a gem! I will definitely be a regular here. The food is fantastic, the coffee is top-notch, and the prices are great value for money.

My first visit since the refurbishment undertaken during lockdown. Nice decor and a slightly extended menu but still the same high quality food and service. We enjoyed all our dishes excellent poached eggs, shepherd's pie and salad. Also lovely juice and coffees. A warm welcome back to the High Street!

popped in for a quick snack... i was pleasantly surprised and the huge choice of the menu... I chose a fresh juice which i saw was freshly pressed on my order... I then had a flat white and wow it was the best coffee i have had in a very long time and i am extremely fussy about my coffee... I also ordered the vegan breakfast and it was really lovely. The staff were fantastic in recommendations and the place was so clean. Rowans Kitchen keep up the good work I have just moved into Chigwell and ill definitely be back! Voir le carte

I visited this restaurant and was overcharged. I’ve since been told by several people that they have a reputation for it. They tried me out,?didn’t get away with it as I wrote down the prices as I went along and presented them with it at the till. I had a jacket potato with one filling but they tried to charge me for two. I refused to pay it and I didn’t leave a tip. If you don’t mind being ripped off, do visit as the food is pretty good. If however you prefer dealing with an honest business, go elsewhere. I wouldn’t go back. Being ripped off isn’t my style.

I am lucky enough to live across the road from this great restaurant. I visit it at least once a week, if not more! There is a really good selection of food and it is all very tasty. They do some lovely fresh pressed juices and smoothies too. The service is very good and friendly and this place is a real hub of the community and the owners genuinely care about their customers. Another thing that makes this place even better is that they have recently started serving some great cocktails!! If you live locally or are in the area, this place is well worth a visit.

I visited the recreational center across the street and asked for a recommendation for a quick meal. The two men in the office suggested going to Rowans, located across the street, and ordering a Fully Loaded Salt Beef Bagel. All I can say is, WOW. The bagel was filled to the brim with high-quality Salt Beef, no skimping here. It was definitely freshly cooked on site and was comparable to the famous Brick Lane. As a very picky eater, I was impressed. The meal also came with a side of chips and coleslaw for only £7.95, a generous portion of food.
