The Sunday lunch deal was very good value. It wasn't particularly wide ranging or innovative but good standard of food, tasty and adequate servings. The youngsters who served us had been well trained and were pleasant and helpful throughout.

Our meal was disappointing 2 of us chose the Pork which was grisely and tough and then the mixed vegetables were overcooked- when we mentioned it to staff they said the Chef was not in today which we found surprising as Sunday is usually a busy day- not up the usual standard at Oscars

There was just one problem with the food, the main dish came swimming in gravy. If you like that much gravy, all was well but for my wife and I it was too much. The service was stretched due to the hotel having a function on. This affected some diners but we were served in a normal time span. Voir le carte

We arrived and was greeted by a lovely lady .she was very helpful and knowledgeable and the other staff were just as pleasant..my mother is disabled and they were very accomodating.. would recommend to others and will definitely return as the food was delicious and very good value for a Sunday lunch.

I usually leave positive reviews, but this time the service was poor. Unfortunately, there seemed to be a lack of staff management, We asked for coffee three times and never received it. After waiting for a long time, we decided to leave without getting our coffee. It seems like someone in charge is not managing things properly.

Not having visited for some time we were pleasantly surprised with the ambiance of the restaurant.. A pleasant welcome, two reasonably priced (new) menus with a variety of dishes. somewhat limited main courses on Table d 'hote. Efficient service and very co-operative staff. Good food and jug of water on the table. (a mark of a good restaurant in my book) The chocolate and cherry mousse was to die for Voir le carte

I met up with friends for dinner on a Sunday. The staff was friendly and helpful. There were many socially distant tables, which made us feel safe. There were hand sanitisers placed throughout the restaurant. The food was well-presented and cooked well, with generous portions. One suggestion for improvement would be to have additional gravy served in a jug. The service was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Thank you.

We had booked a table on Wednesday afternoon at 2 pm and were the only people in the restaurant. While the food was good, with the lunch card of 2 courses for £8,95, the staff was hard to find. I had to look for the corridors to find someone who lets them know we were there and then look for our bill again! When she came to the restaurant, the waitress was friendly and pleasant. Maybe they could have a bell for customers to ring at the bar? Otherwise we enjoyed our meal despite the lack of attention.

Booked Sunday lunch for 3 people on 21 July 2019. Waited 40 minutes for the starters. Then almost the same for main course. 2 people left after ordering due to the wait. Other customers were also kept waiting. Staff kept apologising and offered free drinks. Delay was due to catering for a christening party. I complained to the manager, who just paid lip service, apologised and then walked away. Table was booked for 1 p.m. Main course was served at 2.20 p.m. As I am diabetic, I was beginning to feel ill due to the lack of food. Will NOT be visiting again and will NOT recommend to others. Staff were continually apologising. It was the chefs who were delaying preparing the food. Voir le carte
