"We have visited this restaurant many times since Marcus and Nicky took it over a few years back and have been very impressed with the way they have built up the business and developed a great style with some excellent dishes. They have also been joined for the past few years by Ron, previously at Valentines in the Yumbo centre and Rustico in Melonaras, so now have 3 of the best hosts on the island ! Food is excellent and very plentiful (especially if you like meat , although it is a fairly limited menu. Their pièce de résistance has to be the mixed meat skewer, which is stunningly presented and always turns heads on other tables. Wine selection is good and not too expensive and lovingly served : . Overall one of the better restaurants in the resort."

Falta la sexta estrella para la comida. No encontrarás mejor cocina. Servicio excepcionalmente bueno. ¡Reserva extremadamente importante!

Went there for dinner .service was very slow and when the dishes came out one of them happen to be wrong due to waiter mistake.house wine was just ok.it seems to me the emphasy was in locals return custom been really look after as new customers just left wondering.this is bad practice.food is nicely presented.its run by germans(one waiter couldnt understand english).the fuss over small details didnt impress me.wouldnt go back

Great service with a bit of a retro menu. All five of us were well-fed and pleased with our choices. The food here is good value and above average for the area. Steaks were perfectly cooked whilst starters nearly filled us up. Only slight detractions were the Bearnaise sauce (no flavour and odd colour) and the 'rosti ' which came straight out of the freezer as a McDonald 's hash brown. Come on chaps. It 's just some potato and butter- you can do better. Voir le carte

I had booked a table on Saturday 17th December, it was an extremely busy evening and we had to wait for around 30mins for the starter, but I cannot fault the service, who were working flat out with 3 very big parties booked in. The staff remain friendly, polite welcoming in a very relaxed atmosphere. The service, food and wine are excellent value Definitely a must visit for a meal, but it is advisable to pre book I will definitely be returning Highly Recommendable

We chose this restaurant as we had eaten in Mr Greek next door the night before and it looked busy. We decided to share the Chateaubriand as some guys on the next table had it served and it looked amazing and such fantastic value at 18 euros each you would pay at least double that back home. The quality of the meat and the way it was cooked was absolute perfection. It was served on a bed of roasted vegetables like carrots, parsnips etc which I do miss when I'm in Spain. We couldn't fault the entire experience.

"During our winter stay on the island of Gran Canaria we stayed four times in the bar restaurant Casa Antonio, located in Santa Lucia de Tirajana. In the village there are three other restaurants but, we always opted for Casa Antonio because it is the safest as unlike the others it has a good level of hygiene. The structure of the restaurant is characteristic as it is obtained from an old Canarian house. The interiors are decorated in a traditional but elegant way, the bathrooms are quite large and above all clean. It has a small terrace that unfortunately is not very enjoyable because it faces directly on the road and cars pass too close at high speed. The menu is rather trivial, you eat the same things you can eat in any other traditional restaurant on the island. The quality of the elements is certainly not excellent, the wine list is a bit poor with not exactly cheap prices. The Service, considering that all four times we have been to Casa Antonio the restaurant was half empty, was entrusted to a boy of about 40 years, kind but not overly nice and uncommunicative, his presence does not contribute to creating a relaxing atmosphere. In my opinion, given that the place is almost always empty and tendentially sad, it would be appropriate for the service to be entrusted to a more cheerful, dynamic, engaging person, probably a female figure would be more appropriate. Practically once the meal has been eaten, all that remains is to remain seated at the table in silence. It 's a real pity because the place is suitable for continuing the evening by drinking some spirits, for example, listening to good music and perhaps socializing with the other customers who are missing in this case. I rate the experience in Casa Antonio with two stars because, despite being the best restaurant in the town of Santa Lucia, it offers an extremely boring atmosphere."
