"Armed with a gift voucher for this Greek restaurant we booked a few days earlier for a table for our party of 4 adults, a teenager and 2 year old. On arrival and difficult maneuvering in the small, free car park we were warmly greeted and seated at a nice table for 6. A child's high chair arrived a little later. The drinks order was taken quickly. The adults also received a welcome free glass of ouzo which was a nice touch. The menu is extensive, authentically Greek and the prices are all reasonable. I chose the sardines (actually small fried fish on a bed of salad) followed by the lamb shank cooked with large broad beans. This came straight out of the oven and was piping hot. It was served with a salad. The other members of our family party also enjoyed their food - particularly the thin cut fried potatoes which were crunchy on the outside and still soft on the inside.Throughout our meal our two year old got increasingly restless and wanted to explore the place a bit. Typical of the Greek culture we learned to love when we lived in Athens, the staff took to her as if she was one of their family and helped to keep her entertained. We passed on the desserts as we were all too full after the main courses. At the end of the evening we all agreed that the food and Greek atmosphere here is really lovely. What we missed a bit was the proactive service from the waiters - we would have liked to have been asked whether we wanted more to drink throughout the meal and whether we would like dessert or after dinner coffee..."

"Ich bin damals schon mit meinen Eltern zu Kaup gegangen und das Essen war damals immer Standard bis gut soll heißen wir haben nie schlecht aber auch nie hervorragend gegessen. Seitdem besonders in den letzten ca. 2 Jahren hat sich das Essen enorm verbessert und weiterentwickelt. Es gibt nach wie vor die „gut bürgerlichen“ Gerichte (allem voran natürlich das Schnitzel), aber auch eine immer wechselnde Karte mit neuen und teils sehr innovativen Gerichten. Ich kann mich immer schwer entscheiden, da das Schnitzel wirklich richtig gut ist (schön dünn, zart und mit einer tollen Panade), die neuen Gerichte, die ich, oder die anderen, probiert haben, aber auch allesamt sehr gut und eben auch mal „etwas anderes“ waren. Der kleine Beilagensalat muss allerdings IMMER sein. Er ist immer super frisch und lecker und unter den Blättern verbirgt sich jedes Mal etwas anderes quasi ein Überraschungssalat! Zudem ist der Service immer sehr nett und zuvorkommend und die Terrasse bei schönem Wetter gibt einem immer irgendwie das Gefühl im Urlaub zu sein. Von uns also eine klare Empfehlung wirklich schön, dass solche alten Traditionshäuser nicht immer komplett am Alten festhalten, sondern sich in positiver Weise weiterentwickeln, ohne den alten Charme zu verlieren!"

"We have been coming to the Cramer Stuben off and on for a number of years now. And we've never been disappointed yet. Our most recent visit was on the spur of the moment in mid week and it was nice to see the place so well partonised. It's now the asparagus season here in Germany so I had to choose that, served together with the signature smoked pork loin which is heavenly. Actually the menu is very varied and I'm usually spoilt for choice. The service is always warm & friendly - the patron usually has a smile on his face and a joke on his lips. The helpful signs in the men's washrooms are a testament to his funnier side. You'll have to go there to learn more! We'll be back again - soon."
