I hope they do update their trip advisor details, as reviews from the previous establishment do a disservice to the restaurant that is there now.This restaurant is just a few steps away from Hotel Santo where we stayed for our visit to Cologne. We caught sight of the candlelit courtyard one evening, and had such a warm welcome by the young waiter, we decided to eat there the next evening. The experience lived up to our expectations, we were made to feel very welcome and received excellent customer service. The beautiful candlelit courtyard is stylish, serene and relaxing. Our meals came quickly and were delicious. My father had a light tuna salad which was worthy of a main course, which he said was outstanding. My daughter and I are vegetarian, and we ordered a simple pasta dish, but again, it was beautifully prepared and tasted delicious. The side salad alone was not your average side salad. The cost of our drinks and meal represented very good value for the high quality of the cuisine and service. Highly recommended!"

Just like the Hopper hotel, where it's located, this restaurant is low-key, but very elegant. The dishes are delicious and a bit sophisticated, the service is great.

Nice selection of dishes, average service, nice wine list. The atmosphere and decoration are pretty average. But ok for a business dinner, nothing spectacular just ok

This restaurant in the Hopper Hotel is no longer open (October 2013) I'm struggling to say more (as the review must be 50 characters!) because there is nothing to review. It used to be very nice food so its a shame that it is not open.

Both our meals had good flavour and came out in good time. My fish may have been a bit over cooked. My partner really enjoyed his meal. The staff were really nice and made it easy for us to order - they had English menus which was helpful!

This is an excellent restaurant with a small but very select menu. Hard to classify the foos, except to say it is well done. I had a chantrelle dish there as fine as any I have ever eaten. Good wine list and a lovely outdoor space as well.

My wife was not so keen for German cuisine, therefore we tried that address; friendly staff, I personally enjoyed the "gesier salad" and the "kidneys", my sons enjoyed their bavette and other dishes.The dessert are average, and we were not impressed by the wine, but the experience was satisfying.

Packed with long tables and lots of guests the first impression when entering is that one is entering uninvited a private party. The steak I ordered should have been cooked rate. In spite that he waiter explicitly explained that steaks are only cooked rare by default mine was served medium to well done. My complaint was fully ignored. The rest of the food was served and tasted as expected. A bit over priced hence 3 stars.

We had some real nice German dishes here. A bit more refined than what you normally get. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant. A bit funny with the wine for a restaurant. We were with a small group and found out after the first 2 bottles of red wine, they did not have any more of that wine ... So we switched to another red wine. the waiter checked and informed us that they had 4 bottles of that wine. I guess my wine cellar is larger then theirs :-)
