"After a long delay, we returned back here. We have been scared by the many owner changes over the past ten years. The current operator has been staying for a few years, that could not be quite wrong. The Jungfernmühle is a historic building. Originally located in Potsdam, it came to the end of the 19th century after Neukölln, then Rixdorf, and finally at its current location in Gropiusstadt. It was managed as a mill until 1980. Then she fell off. Finally, not only the mill was renovated, but also the terrain around it was built. Today there is a large square in front of the mill, which is used as a mill beer garden. Behind houses in Dutch style. The ensemble looks inviting, although it has seen better days. Since it belongs to a mill, there are several floors in the building. On the ground floor there is the main room with several tables, the kitchen and the counter. In the first OG another room that is usually used for celebrations. In the basement, where there is a steep staircase, there are not very spacious toilets. There are various dishes of German cuisine on the menu. Speciality is Schnitzel from the Saalower herbal pig, which is available in various variants. Saalow is a place south of Berlin where the pigs are bred. The carvings are extensive and delicious. The other dishes are also worth a try. Depending on the season there are additional cards such as a Matjeskarte or a Pfifferlingskarte. The current maps are displayed on the website. If you want to come to coffee in the afternoon, you can choose between some cakes and the “Windmühlensack”. The menu includes the usual beer and wine offer. There are yeast wheat from the barrel that we just taste in the summer. Prices for food are in the upper average range. The food is delicious, the portions are generous. We have consistently experienced the services friendly and accommodating. Whenever possible, we take place in the beautiful beer garden. Since the main roads are a distance, it sits quiet there. The restaurant has its own small parking lot. When occupied, you can easily find a parking space in the streets around the mill. The nearest bus stops are just a 5-minute walk away. Overall, we can recommend a visit to the Jungfernmühle."
