Brilliant food that's reasonably priced and lovely setting with outside seating! Try and pay it a visit whilst in Berlin

We where staying nearby this restaurant... We found it through internet... Wow... Great atmosphere and amazing service... The fish soup and the truffle risotto were exquisite! A little piece of heaven.

We didn't feel like tourists for a moment here. Though of course the staff speak perfect English. Good, well prepared, well presented fresh food. The vegan plate was delicious and came together beautifully, I'm not vegan and the octopus starter was excellent too. Voir le carte

This just about gets 4*. The food - vegan surprise and an interesting pasta dish with apricots - is good. But we arrived 19.30 and got our main course at 20.50. In comparison to other Berlin eateries it is on the more expensive side. I just think they need to up the whole presentation with the huge number of eateries that offer equal at competitive prices.

Nowadays the Butterhandlung is my favorite restaurant in town, which makes it hard to make an impartial review. They are awesome with vegetarian food too, but my passion there are the meat based food. Everyone should try their stakes - at least once in life -, and if the idea is trying something new, the Sunday's Feijoada is amazing.Extra suggestion: they have a bar connected to the restaurant, great to drink&dance after the dinner.

The quality of the food we ordered wasn't more than mediocre. I was surprised to see that they don't know how to cook an entrecote properly. It was dry and cooked between medium well and done, thus completely tasteless. Side dishes such as eggplants, potatoes, and zucchini were fried and seasoned wrongly - therefore they tasted really bad as well. The service and communication weren't any extraordinary. Although the atmosphere is nice, I wouldn't recommend this place if you are looking for a nice mid-range / fine-dining occasion. Voir le carte

We highly recommend Butterhandlung, which is just around the corner from our apartment, at the Frankfurter Alee end of Friedrichshain. The kitchen is run by a Brazilian chef who puts local, modern European and Brazilian dishes on the menu. Don't miss the Feijoada served up all day on Sunday. One portion is big enough for two to share! It's incredibly popular so we recommend booking in advance. In fact, we popped in the evening before to make a reservation and were taken down a corridor to a secret bar at the back of the restaurant, with a small stage and live band playing! We had a fabulous, impromptu, night out!

So so very good! The ambiance, the service, and the food -- perfection. The menu was all in German but they had a charming waiter on staff who patiently went through translating each item from appetizer to entree to drinks and entertained our questions. The food was worth every single cent. The meal I had was the white asparagus and salmon which is my go-to at most restaurants but the chef here worked some sort of magic and produced the most delish dish of our entire Berlin stay. Beautiful restaurant indoor and outdoor and quite charming bathrooms! I don't know why I remember this but yes, it was very cute. Highly recommend!

This restaurant offers a Brazilian/Portuguese food, pasta and different meat dishes. Everything was great: starting with the bread with 3 different seasoned butter cubes...The octopus/scallops/scampi plate on chickpea purée was finger-licking delicious. So was the truffle pasta and the orange tiramisu.The atmosphere was really relaxing, service funny and attentive. They have a hidden bar (Bar Bobu) behind a door in the back of the restaurant with live music. They offer a truly excellent White Russian. The bar (not the restaurant) can be very loud so a conversation will be difficult. And the fact that everybody smokes in bars in Berlin...well...But you can always order all drinks from the bar...
