Nice little coffee shop, with only a couple of vegan options. But atleast they’re there. Vegan Breakfast is tasty

Good to have some vegan options but unfortunately my vegan breakfast was cold and not very tasty at all. Would maybe go again and try another option?

Had the vegan breakfast and saw they had chilli and baked potatoes and a few other vegan options too. Tasted okay. Staff were very friendly and remembered our daughters name. Fast service too. Voir le carte

A very friendly cafe/restaurant within a cookery shop. They have quite a few vegan choices and are very keen to help. I had a very nice vegan breakfast. Updated from previous review on 2022-08-28

Popped in for takeaway. Eventually served by flapping untrained staff member. Overpriced microwaved scone was a disappointment and the ‘butter’ I had to ask for was margarine or some other type of cheap spread scooped from a container into a paper pot which melted all over the bag. Will definitely give this a miss in future.

Overworked waitress. “All day menu” unavailable ….all gone at 1pm. My choice from the main menu turned out to be the worst Mac and Cheese ever. Inedible. Swimming in grease. After a dispute at the till, the cost of the meal (which was left uneaten) was dropped and I only paid for my pot of tea. “Well you got your free WiFi…..” was the waitress’ parting shot. This used to be a good cafe, back in the day. There are many good local alternatives. Avoid this one. Voir le carte

Arrived here at 11.30 on Monday 11th September after travelling from Cumbria for a 3 day break in Peebles. We were both very hungry as we didn't have breakfast before leaving home some 3 hours earlier we decided to eat here, both had cooked breakfast which was delicious, hot filling with toast drinks very reasonable priced too. Only disappointment was that they didn't have any pancakes which I'd been looking forward to trying but we still both left satisfied with the food we had

Front of house needs training on hygiene standards. Table washed with a dirty tea towel only half table cleaned. Dirty cutlery cleaned with steam from coffee machine wiped dry with the same dirty cloth. Glass for drinks still had dishwasher detergent on them. Waitress smelt strongly of stale alcohol felt she was still intoxicated. Toasties ok, although cranberry would have been at home in a volcano! Carrot coriander soup tasteless. Peebles is lovely with some fabulous eateries, this isn't one of them. I don't often comment but I could not recommend this establishment.

Stopped here for lunch in Peebles after having visited once before. They have quite a nice menu but the service let it down. We asked for another couple of minutes to decide on our food when the waitress came over at first but then they didn’t come back for another 10. Food came to the table after about a 25 minute wait but there was no cutlery so we had to wait another several minutes for that. Flat whites were brought to the table but were spilled all over their saucers by the time they were put down. My husband’s was a decaf and it looked like it had undissolved instant coffee floating in it. Noticed at one point that there were 4 or 5 empty tables with dirty plates on them but staff seem...
