"Birmingham is known as one of the two capitals of Indian cuisine in England, alongside Bradford, and is famous for its Balti dishes, with countless Balti houses throughout the city. Amidst this wealth of delicious and affordable Indian food, Pushkar stands out as a more upscale and pricier option that has still managed to build a loyal following. What sets Pushkar apart is its elegant atmosphere, the exceptional quality of its ingredients, and its inventive dessert menu. My first visit to Pushkar happened by chance while I was staying near Brindley Place. Passing by, I decided to take a look at the menu and was intrigued by the duck masala. It surpassed my expectations—the rich tomato-based curry was bursting with flavors of garlic, ginger, black pepper, and red chilies. It was perfectly complemented by basmati rice and a side of raita. Since then, I’ve returned several times and enjoyed every dish I’ve tried. The murgh korma is a standout, offering a luxurious, creamy, and nutty curry that’s ideal if you prefer milder spice. The creative desserts are a particular highlight for me. The gajar ka halwa tart served with pistachio ice cream is my favorite. While the garam masala brûlée didn’t differ much from a classic crème brûlée, with just a subtle hint of cinnamon, it was still very enjoyable. Another unique treat is the chocomosa—a filo samosa filled with chocolate and roasted almonds, accompanied by cappuccino ice cream. I’m left wondering why no one else has thought to create a chocolate samosa before, and how I had never tried one until now. If you find yourself in Birmingham, a visit to Pushkar is a must. The restaurant truly lives up to its accolades, including the 2015 British Curry Award, the 2015 Best of Broad Street Award, and the 2015 English Curry Award."

Favorite Curry House in the entire world! The salmon Dillard and the biryanis are always banging! I can not say enough good about this place and how I look forward to returning. Had curry all over and hands down this is where I look forward to returning. Voir le carte

Went here with my parents and a friend and we all loved it so much we kept eating until we couldn't eat anymore. We started with the dahi puri chaat, then had a braised lamb dish, aloo gobi, fish curry, and a duck masala. With some naan bread and rice and that was good for 4 people. Would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Elevated Indian food. Loved the tandoori tofu! The vegetable korma, saag paneer and lamb shank were all excellent and the mushroom rice was a perfect accompaniment. Rocky was our server and was excellent. I was a bit miffed that they didn't have any Rieslings or wines that pair well with Indian Food. We have Rose Champagne good but surprised at the lack of wines that are notorious for working well with Indian food.

Love Pushkar! The food is excellent! So far I loved absolutely every dish I had and believe me I had many! the cocktails are fabulous too and even though the place might look a little posh, the staff are wonderfully lovely and the prices are really fair (at least for vegetarians). I always go there when I want Indian food. The general atmosphere is lovely too, they have a beautiful Buddha at the door and the paintings are classy too. Absolutely go there! Voir le carte

My husband and I have now been twice, and dream about their curry when we're back home. Azad has been our server both times, and was very friendly with excellent recommendations for our meal. Several reviewers have mentioned the prices it's definitely more of a treat yo' self option, but a really really good one. This is the best curry we've ever eaten. It's not your typical curry takeaway... It's a full on Northern Indian food experience. You're getting the best so you'll pay a premium. It's totally worth it.

I recently had a great evening at Pushkar. Broadstreet isn't exactly the classiest location but once inside you completely forget the clubbers outside. The decor is very sophisticated and has a modern feel to it, and the service from start to finish was fantastic. They have a great selection of cocktails, including classics as well as some brilliant signature cocktails such as the white chocolate martini. The menu is also helpfully divided so that you can go straight to your kind of cocktail. The staff were also great at re filling our water on the table and making sure we had everything we needed, yet they were never too instrusive and generally left us to enjoy our evening. To start we had...
