"A very local place with a variety of options. The waiter's English was excellent and he translated the items not on the English menu. Started with chicken liver pate. Completely different than a US version. Very creamy and not heavy. Had roast beef tender enough...to cut without a steak knife in a brown au jus with green onions and topped with crispy fried onions. Served with small, creamy roasted potatoes. Husband chose ravioli on the English menu which would be better described as cheese-filled perogies, cooked but not fried. Very tasty. Finished off with White Ferdinand Torte, a house-made orange and nut sponge cake topped with red currant jam and shaved white chocolate. A very satisfying meal at a reasonable price. There is a non-smoking room."

friendly reception, very cozy Wiener ambiente! we eat five and all were extremely satisfied. meat soup, beeftartartar and the appetizers were drawn, as well as lamming and the ass carving from the pan!

Most food in Austria is relatively heavy. Here it wasn't. I had a lovely salad with backhendl (one of my favorite ways to eat chicken). It was delicious. Atmosphere is good. A real Austrian stube. Very friendly staff. Voir le carte

this combination of rustic flair and excellent kitchen has already something! and the dishes from the predominantly spicy as well as the kitchen are served by an as rustic waiter with as tasty flott. my conclusion: who wants to eat really well in the cozy frame is right here!

for many years no longer have been in this restaurant. the time leaves sign, no good for this local. the menu is relatiw monotonous and not seasonally adjusted. it lacks atmosphere and mood. the quality of eating is acceptable but not particularly impressive. as will no longer go to the printine ferdinand.

The quality of this restaurant has fluctuated over recent years with management and staff changes. At this point both food and service are very good. While the outdoor tables beneath chestnut trees are lovely, I also enjoy the indoor dining in small, cosy rooms. Limited but good menu, very good wines and schnaps. Voir le carte

Went there for dinner with my parents and partner and enjoyed great traditional Austrian dishes. The food is not avant garde, innovative, or haute cuisine by any means and focuses on traditional Austrian fare. However, the dishes are executed flawlessly and are savory. We were seated in the little outside garden patio which was lovely. It was a low key setting with good food and good beer... what more could you want?

The good points:-Nice attractive pub/restaurant with smoking and nonsmoking areas-although the smoking areas are more attractive.Pleasant and attentive staff.Bad PointsThe food is characterised by poor quality ingredients.I had "rostbraten" which was apiece of very fibrous beef, from a very cheap cut.It had been cooked to death but was still difficult to cut across the fibres. there was also fat, skin and gristle to contend with.We also had pork-what wasa served were 2 slices of what had obviously been a roast joint some time previously. Again a very cheap cut , raggedy and not very pleasant. No vegetables.I would advise against going.
