"Totally by accident we found this place, starving because there was no other place in the whole area, hoping to find at least maybe a pizza. Then the most friendly people of Sardinia just spoilt us completely and we had a late lunch that took the whole afternoon on their great outdoor terrace. The friendly staff looked a bit surprised, maybe it was the time of the day or maybe our beach look and the fact that we asked for any food they could possibly get on the table? But they came back strong and suggested a lot of antipasti and we agreed to it all. We got what we deserved I guess, they started with oysters and some bread and ham, salami, different types of cheese, some kind of lobster starter and a raw salmon starter. Then an extra table was added and they brought us octopus, some very fresh calamari, raw langoustines and a fresh mix of raw vegetables. We agreed to taste their top wine of Sardinia (which was only €18 for the bottle) and this again was super. After this a beautiful chocolate dessert and apple tart was accompanied by a nice Muscat wine (on the house). There were no other people at that moment and we got to meet the whole staff and family that worked that afternoon who were all extremely friendly. We left as friends and will love to come back here. So this is absolutely not just a pizzeria although they do pizza and the owner showed me very proudly the huge pizza oven."

We stayed just down the street at a local resort and stumbled upon Primo Piano on our first night. Granted, there aren't a lot of good eating options in the area, but we loved the food and atmosphere at Primo Piano that we went back each of the three nights we were in Sardinia. All told, we ended up trying several things on the menu, most of which were very good. We had the truffle and mushroom spaghetti (very good), sea bass (good), horse steak (yes, horse... it tasted like beef and was very good), fried cheese-and-beef-stuffed olives (pretty good), fried mixed seafood (good), a cheesy olive side dish (pretty good), pizza with mushrooms, artichokes and sausage (very good), baby octopus in a...

"Where to start... It's not often you find a place that hits every note just right, but tonight, we did. This experience was nothing short of spectacular. The food, the service, the atmosphere – all top-notch. Alessio, our server, embodied what it means to be truly hospitable. His knowledge, friendliness, and attentiveness were the perfect complement to an already exceptional evening. If you're planning a visit, do yourself a favor and ask for Alessio. We kicked things off with the Calamari Fritto. Perfectly cooked, perfectly salted, and paired with a sauce that had whispers of garlic and a hint of acidity, perhaps from the lemon we squeezed over it. A small portion, but a perfect tease of what was to come. Then came two of the most remarkable dishes we've ever had, anywhere in Italy. First, the Agliolini all'Uovo con Caviale di Salmone. A dish that, at first glance, was flawless. Al dente pasta in a wonderfully balanced sauce. The salmon caviar added an explosion of flavor, little bursts of briny joy that played off the lemon zest in perfect harmony. And then, the Culurgiones con Crema di Bottarga al Burro. This dish, folks, made us emotional. Knowing we might never taste anything like it again, except here, in Sardinia. As the plate arrived, the aroma enveloped us. The nuttiness of the browned butter, the salinity of the bottarga – it was a beautiful marriage of flavors. The Culurgiones, those little Sardinian dumplings, were cooked to perfection, absorbing the rich, flavorful sauce. It was a dish so well-composed, so brilliantly executed, it was a privilege to eat. As if the evening couldn’t get any better, we had the pleasure of sharing a seadas. This Sardinian dessert is a real gem. Imagine a delicate pastry, fried to golden perfection, filled with tangy pecorino cheese. Drizzled with local honey, it’s a perfect balance of sweet and savory. The cheese oozes out, melding with the honey to create a mouthful of pure joy. It’s simple, yet extraordinary – a perfect end to our meal. The memory of tonight's meal will linger long after the last bite. We can't wait to come back and do it all over again. In the midst of all this culinary perfection, we almost forgot the stunning sunset, which we caught just in time at the end of our meal. Thank you, Alessio, and a heartfelt thanks to the chefs for a meal we'll be dreaming about for a long time. (For drinks, we enjoyed a few Select Spritz and wrapped up with a couple cafes. The perfect end to a perfect evening."
