"At the time of writing this review the Restaurante Playamaro is ranked 3 out of 9 Restaurants in Maro, so all I can say is that numbers one and two must be quite something. OK this place doesn 't look much, but the food we found to be very good, as was the service and well, a 3 course lunch for Eur9.90 was really excellent value. My wife and I both had the stuffed scallop to start, which were cooked perfectly (unlike a previous reviewers comments) and they were full of good seafood. My main course was described (I think) as Ribs in sauce , and I have to say these ribs with BBQ sauce were probably the most tender and succulent I 've ever eaten. The sauce was not poured over the ribs either so you could chose how much to eat just to compliment the meat. Our party of four all chose different mains and we all enjoyed our food and came away feeling very full. With drinks and tips our bill was just Eur50 and we felt for what we 'd had this was excellent value. It was very quiet at the time of our visit and we felt almost as though we were the only customers eating which was a shame, as we 'd highly recommend their fixed price menu to other travellers."

no luxury. very quiet place. Well, the restaurant, old-fashioned but very clean. the restaurant is very good, both in the menu of the day, and in the dinners. very cheap and both quality and views make the visit very nice. attention of 10

Warning very bad service and food! We ordered a 3 course menu it took almost an hour before we got our starter. One of them was written to be a salad but it consisted of 90% over boiled potato and some red pepper?! When more then an hour hand gone and we still didn’t get the main course we left.

We have recently returned from a week in a villa in Maro 7 of us aged between 18 and 71. Whilst there we tried the Playamaro on our first night the food was delicious and service was great. We tried other restaurants in the area, but it was the Playamaro that we returned to 3 times during our stay and was our favourite. Look out for the fluffy white cat who lives nearby and visits the restaurant. he just hangs around not bothering anyone we fell in love with him !

4 days in couple and enchanted! the hotel is small and is located at the entrance of the sea. parking in the village is scarce, we went in low season and we had no big problems, but in summer it must be complicated. the nerve council should improve this aspect if it wants to encourage tourism in the area. the room is a small apartment with living room and kitchen, ours with sea views, without terrace, although most do have it. The room is old and the TV too small. the comfortable bed and cleaning of 10. We have stayed in half-board regimen and the food is exquisite. attention from the friendly and fast waiters. breakfast has dripped us; coffee, toast and orange juice. should improve the coff...
