"While out hiking, stumbling upon an unexpected farm shop in the middle of nowhere can be a delightful surprise. That's exactly what happened to me when I came across Plank's. I was thrilled to find something different to eat than the usual rations I had in my backpack from Warminster. The selection at Plank's was impressive and I was greeted by a friendly lady at the till who allowed me to enjoy my meal at a nearby table, which I assumed was typically reserved for staff. I stocked up on water and indulged in a delicious scotch egg, a uniquely shaped pasty at a discounted price, a refreshing pint of cold milk, and a couple of bananas, all while catching up on the day's news in the newspaper. Plank's is located in The Old Potato Yard, a charming enclave of rural businesses nestled between the Wiltshire Downs, offering a true taste of locally sourced produce in a picturesque setting."

Great shop selling all food with some great home made. Used this whilst on holiday, who needs the big supermarkets.

Excellent sandwiches from fresh produce. Excellent cheeses, But perhaps a little expensive. Service polite and good.

Good place to look round for something for a special occasion as it has more top of the range and different ingredients.

Purchased a £25.00 boned shoulder of lamb that was extremely tough and ruined our BBQ over the weekend. We won't be returning as the quality has declined since our last visit a year ago! Voir le carte

Service is excellent! Staff very friendly helpful Food fresh grown locally! I can recommend the sausage rolls. I don’t normally like them but the ones from here are fantastic! The butchers meat is a treat to eat!

A mini shopping mall. Vgroup visited for tea coffees and cakes. Despite the large size of group service was excellent. sales and tea very good. Shop is also well stocked with good quality produce but priced at the very top end.

We recently moved nearby and stumbled upon this hidden gem of a restaurant. It will definitely become a regular stop for us. The restaurant offers a fantastic variety of breads, meats, and gifts that surpasses many other farm shops in terms of quality and selection. Voir le carte

We visited the Farm Shop on our way to Upavon and purchased, amongst other things, two lardy cakes. They were, without doubt, the worst lardies we have ever eaten. Even after heating in the microwave they were dry and almost inedible. Having checked the receipt, we discovered we had paid £1.49 each. What an expensive way to feed the birds!!

We found this place by chance after googling farm shops on our way through. Cute little cafe with really lovely food. Husband had the ploughmans and we couldn't get over how large the slab of cheese was! My chicken salad sandwich was really tasty, as was my sons fruit bread. We asked if they could do a half cheese for our 4 year old and it was massive, the bread was lovely and thick and she literally ate every crumb! Big thumbs up for the minty hot chocolate too, loved the homemade marshmallow and biscuit on the side. The farm shop was well stocked and we couldn't resist buying some homemade cakes to take on with us!

"We stayed here ten years ago and thought it was wonderful and worth every penny. We were so excited to return, but really Disapointed. The grounds are lovely and we were pleased with our room. The children loved the outdoor space and the pool What really let us down was the food and service. There was no luxury here. The family dining choices were poor. The children's meal was bad one had fish gougons and sweet potato fries which were very salty. The other two had pizza, the small was served as half a pizza, the large was a conventional round shape. Both were shop bought bases (cardboard) with grated Cheddar on the top. Something I would not feed them at home let alone expect in a supposedly high end dining. My husband's steak was chewy. My main, whole plaice with creamed potatoes, the potato was served in a ceramic dish and it was cold. It was taken away and then took ten minutes to return by which point I had eaten the fish. The food was incredibly expensive considering how poor the offerings were. The next day we ate a very late lunch in Bath so we would not have to eat at the hotel. The breakfast buffet area had some nice items but was really understocked and allowed to run to empty. The staff functioned but not at a steady rate, we found the service slow and the staff disinterested. Such a contrast to our previous visit. The person in charge we found sullen and felt as if our presence was an inconvenience. When we walked through to the dining areas we would hop out of the staff'so way for fear of being bulldozed. When we left the receptionist was polite but did not ask if we enjoyed our stay. A week later I had an email to complete a survey and nobody got in touch despite the same feedback as given here. Very dispointing. Lovely room and surroundings but poor food and poor attitude from staff. Last year we stayed in a hotel that cost 65% less than Wooley Grange and had a much better experience."

"We had a tremendously good lunch here today-the food was quite delicious, the staff were very friendly and helpful-I’d say it’s probably one of the best lunches I’ve had in quite some time….so to give you a clue we both had the pork-this sounded really lovely and we were not disappointed-pork belly, tenderloin,a faggot and a ham hock croquet with mashed potato and roasted cauliflower with a delicious jus and a slice of pickled apple( which I ate immediately with a piece of pork and when the waiter came to ask how our lunch was I asked if he could possibly get me another piece-which he did For dessert we shared the passion fruit crème brûlée which came with a passion fruit sorbet and some chocolate soil…..the focaccia we had at the start of the meal was superb and the coffee was also excellent -we do enjoy both cooking and eating-one of life’s pleasures and it’s abundantly clear the chef absolutely loves food too-a great display of cooking books from the greats sort of got me thinking it would be a good lunch…….also worth noting the drinks menu-some lovely wines, soft drinks and cocktails both alcoholic and non alcoholic. I finished off with a mocha which was hot chocolatey but not too sweet. Bradford on Avon is most definitely worth a visit and I’d say you would be foolish to miss out on a great experience if you didn’t also pop in to the bunch of grapes for some sustenance while there… Thanks for lunch and as Arnie says “ we’ll be back”….."
