"General On this Friday evening my beloved sheephead evening failed for holiday reasons. My wife was happy to join her at the Schoppenclub. Since there was also a Faggot a day, we were only five and one beat the Pizzeria Adria in Aschaffenburg Damm. They have been listed in the Schlemmerblock for years and are also advertised for this, so you can expect how full payers are treated. We packed our block and set ourselves on the way. Pizzeria is located in a residential area and many parking spaces can only be covered with parking for residents. I found happiness and another parking near the restaurant that is available to the public. The pizzeria is not suitable for wheelchair users or for roller drives, as both three high steps can be overcome at the entrance and the way to the toilet can only be overcome by steps inside the pizzeria. When my wife and I arrived, our friends were already on site and had already ordered their drinks. We joined the 6th table and were soon discovered, received and supplied with the menus by the only service. The operation with an Eastern European accent brought the drinks for our friends shortly afterwards and had immediately instead of an export beer as ordered by a cyclist for my brother-in-law. Because of his complaint, she was withdrawn and an export promised. When the bottle of water and the wines came for me and my wife, whom we ordered on this occasion, his beer was not yet tapped. The observation of the counter revealed that the young woman had not only to serve but also took the counter together with the out-house service. This inevitably led to talks with regular customers who picked up their pizza and went to the restaurant guests at the expense of attention. When the company had left something behind, the reorganization of drinks was not a problem, but it had to be noticed. The payment process with the Schlemmerblock went smoothly over the stage. When it was cleared, it was asked if everything tasted, no time left. All in all, I say that the operation was not overloaded. Rather, a small timeout took place again and again, i.e. from my point of view air was also up, i.e. 2 stars. The food 2x salad with turkey (8, € , among others for my wife, 2x pizza cappricciosa and for me profane spaghetti Bolognese (7,50 € ), which were then paid due to the slumber block. I didn't have the prices for the pizzas in my head, and since there was no cash bonus, but only a handwritten note when paying, I can't hand them over here either. The salad was visually not looked bad and also varied. Green leaf salad, cheese cubes, tomato slices, cucumber slices (not included), boiled carrots, also cut into slices. Garlic as well as a balsamico dressing made the salad pikant and tasty, so at least the statement of my wife. The plaster pieces were not so dark fried and delicate. In a basket, enough pizza bread was served as a supplement, coated with herbs and oil, crispy and okay. My spaghetti Bolognese was to my satisfaction, both with size and taste. The slightly darker sauce not too much tomatoes, the minced meat not dominant, but sufficient and the most important, the noodles beautiful al dente. The pizzas were well occupied, the soil crispy and thin, they cost and were found for okay. In some cases, however, the pizza spice of menagerie was also used. The open bardolinoschmeckte was good and at € 3.70 for 0.2 l. It was served in a carafe and fed into the glass. The Sodenthal mineral water classic stood with 3.70 € for the 0.7 l bottle to beech. All in all, okay, no more, but no less. I think that 3 stars are a fair assessment. All tables are covered with fabric tablecloths. On the table there was also a meagerie with salt shakers and pepper shakers and a pizza aroma in appropriate sharpness. Candles that were also illuminated. The spatiality in L-shape. Left over one step some tables. There is probably room for about 45 people. It's a little old. Still okay. Cleanliness On cleanliness I noticed nothing negative. To the toilet of men you have to go through a door next to the counter into a dark narrow passage that opens into the yard. On the left are the toilets that are clean, but have also come in the years. And that in the yard all garbage cans stand before one when you go to the toilet, is probably due to the circumstance of small room conditions, but certainly not a beautiful view. Conclusion This is a normal pizzeria that you can visit at any time, the food tastes, the prices are okay, but an aha experience is certainly not there."

"The restaurant of the Landhotel Klingerhof two miles away, our base, was closed and the receptionist recommended the Old Church in nearby Haibach, a pretty village in the valley below. It was almost full, and that at 7pm on a Sunday evening - a good sign! The place looked quite authentic, an impression re-inforced by the realisation that many locals were eating there. A friendly young waitress brought us a quite extensive menu in German only and we opted for a carafe of what we were told was a dry white housewine at a moderate price whilst we perused it. Neither of us found the wine dry and it was exchanged for another one without fuss, this time dry. I opted for the onion soup. My wife wanted a small tuna salad as a starter and sensibly suggested we should order our main course later, having seen the size of portions on other tables. My steaming soup arrived first, served in a big bowl; just as well it was so hot that I had to wait because it took some time for her salad to arrive. A starter salad? It was enormous, very fresh and delicious!Outgoing diners had to pass our table and we noticed that nearly all had a ‘doggy bag’ – it seemed to be taken for granted that most would be defeated by the amount of food and cardboard boxes to take uneaten food home were provided as if it was a matter of course. Our first course would have been enough but I felt a bit guilty, ordered some more wine, then agreed with my wife that we would order a Wiener Schnitzel (her choice) to be shared between us. A large plate with two schnitzels, French fries and salad arrived. We just could not do the contents justice (the food tasted fine!) and managed to eat just about a quarter between us. I had to explain to the waitress that there was nothing wrong with the food – on the contrary – and she immediately asked if we wanted a box to take the rest with us, an offer we declined. For two sizable first courses, basket of bread, a gigantic main course and ¾ litres of a very acceptable house wine the bill came to 34 Euros!...This was quantity paired with quality at a give-away price!"
