"Me and my friend booked a table for 21:15 and I guess we were there only table left so they decided to just close early and forget about us. They didn’t even call to cancel our booking or try to let us know in any way shape or form so we had made our way there for them to be packing everything away and extremely rudely tell us they are closed. The man didn’t even want to listen, he just walked away and continued to pack away as we politely tried to explain that we had booked a table and he eventually just shut the door on us. Really unprofessional and no consideration for customers. I was honestly astounded."

Pretty nightmare. Was too noisy and music was to loud. Couldn’t enjoy anything. Wanted to leave ASAP.

The worst pizza express I have been to. To the point I refuse to go. Pizza is a family favourite but not from here.

We have just had 2 pizza's delivered plus a coke a sprite for £22 and they are the SMALLEST pizzas I have ever seen! Like 8 inch pan, you know, when you bake a cake?? Ridiculous! £10 for a pizza is a lot of... Voir le carte

We visited Pizza Express at just after 10pm on a Thurs evening simply to buy 2 takeaway pizzas. Initially this seemed to be no problem even though the last diners left while we were waiting so it was probably closing soon. However, it...

I ordered a pizza for collection but couldn’t get out as my daughter was poorly. I called the branch and suggested they give my order to the next person to come in, or alternatively to have it themselves. The chap on the other end would...

The manager seated us and then disappeared, leaving us waiting for fifteen minutes before we could order. We had to flag down a waiter who had served two other tables that arrived after us in order to finally get our food. The meal itself was delicious. When we asked for the bill, we had to wait an additional 5 minutes after asking a different waiter before it was brought to us. Voir le carte

I had a wonderful lunch with my children at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the kids meal deal was a great value. For about £7, they get a starter of dough balls, a main course, dessert, and a drink. The pizza and pasta options were excellent. The staff was very friendly and efficient in taking orders and delivering food. I would gladly return to this restaurant again.

Me and my friend booked a table for the evening of the 4th at 21:15 through the Pizza Express website. On arrival to the restaurant, we found a member of staff packing furniture away and was told the restaurant was closed. We mentioned that we made a booking, but the staff member didn't see to care and continued to pack away. Looking online this branch is meant to be open until 22:00, so not entirely sure what happened. To say we were less than impressed was an understatement. I don't think we had seen such nonchalance in my life.

"A friend and I stumbled on to this neighbourhood restaurant by chance; no research, no booking, no expectations. We were then blown away by the quality of the food: wonderfully fresh fish, beautifully cooked. The service is also exemplary. I've always enjoyed calamari, but this was by far the best I've ever had: truly succulent and juicy. The mussels were almost as good, and the sea bream kept up the standard. The spiced quince with ice cream made a nice change from baclava in a Turkish restaurant (they still threw in some baclava). The owner, Tony, provides excellent recommendations — make sure you take them! He knows what's fresh that morning, and how his wife cooks it. The bill comes hand-written, and Tony forgot to include the wine (obviously I corrected him). I can't remember the last time a restaurant bill made a mistake in the customers' favour! No service charge is included, and it deserves a lot more than the usual 12.5%. This is a wonderful, old-fashioned restaurant, run by a charming old couple, committed to maintaining old-fashioned standards. The food is more than great and the prices more than reasonable. Service is personal, honest and responsive (providing Tony turns his hearing aid on). Tony warns you if anything you wanted was bought in, rather than home-made. Why don't unassuming but wonderful restaurants like this get Michelin stars?"
