"Ok I will admit that I am a huge fan of this place, having visited many times over the last 15 years, and the consistency of the food and the quality of the wines on the 2700 long wine list is as good as ever. I always take the "Gastronomic" 7-course menu with corresponding wines for a bargain price of 170 Euros, with dishes such as Label-Rouge Salmon, Atlantic Scallops, Medalions of Lamb in Pinot Sauce and at least 30 cheeses. Wines served generously by glass included Chateu Fuisse Chardonnay, a superb Pinot Blanc from their own Franz Keller winery and a delicious dessert wine from one of Austria's top winemakers Alois Kracher. Service is outstanding, especially from 2 full time Sommeliers even at lunchtime. For a Michelin star restaurant they are very flexible with their menus, and will offer to exchange dishes on the set menu with the a la carte for is fussy guests. Note also that their recently opened winery has an excellent more casual restaurant with a stunning terrace overlooking the vineyards, plus a very homely Gasthof serving very local, traditional dishes but again with a superb selection of both local and international wines. Also have 14 rooms as part of the leading small hotels of the world but book in advance as it's always fully booked especially friday-sunday. Highly recommended."

"Eigentlich schade der vierte Koch in der kurzen Geschichte der Kellerwirtschaft ist mit Abstand der beste wird aber nicht lange dort bleiben, sondern schon bald in Freiburg den Markgräfler Hof übernehmen. Umso mehr kann ich jedem nur ans Herz legen, seine Küche JETZT und HIER in Oberbergen kennenzulernen und zu genießen: ein kulinarisches Highlight auf souveränem 2 Sterne Niveau mindestens. Nicht unbedingt zum Sattwerden (zumindest à la carte), aber zum Eintauchen in eine begeisternde, sinnliche Welt von raffiniertem Soul Food allererster Güte wunderbar komponiert und bis ins Kleinste aromatisch durchdacht und ausgefeilt. Dazu das lockere, kompetente Team, die tolle Weinauswahl und das Ambiente ... Herz, was willst du mehr?"

"not only eating (and french cellar wine tasty, the restaurant and the city was so rustic! my father, man and I traveled through southern Germany and went to a wine tour in french cellar (cellar economy) on the road and then to lunch. at rebstock after. yannik in the cellar industry was an amazing tour guide (especially they recommend to go on a tour and enjoy a fabulous wine tasting) and arrange us with reservations in the rebstock for lunch. our meals were all phenomenal. my father and husband both ordered the carving and I had the chicken. Both were delicious. maybe the best carving I ever tasted. we sat outside in the courtyard, and it was very pleasant. this was one of the highlights of our journey!"

"At the end of October at Kaiserweetter in Bötzingen at the Kaiserstuhl enjoyed: 2 times well slept and once well eaten. Delicious breakfast was available with extra courtesy service on the buffet and on request we were able to use the late checkout very relaxed on the day of departure."

"Generally, on this day a friend took to the Spargel dinner in Jauchs Löwe, as I was more often there in recent years (with different people) and it always tasted very well for us. The prices have risen, but the super food makes it up again. Operation The only criticism in my entire assessment is the operation. I've always been outside the garden. However, there is the fact that there is no operation in the meantime. It may be that you have to wait a little longer until the order. Even after eating (if it may have become a bit later) it can be that it takes forever until someone reappears. The food was very good. They also taste the freshness and quality of the products. In part, the shares are almost too large. On this day I decided for asparagus with scratches and sauce Hollandaise, as I knew from the visit that a asparagus dish with meat would certainly be much too much. After a break there was a dessert place. The beauty here is that you get an amuse if you only order a dish (without appetizer, dessert or other). Unfortunately, this is not common everywhere. In most restaurants there are no amuse... The ambience The garden is simply beautiful. I've never been inside. It was always there in summer. Even at a later hour you can sit very comfortably on the well and entertain yourself. Since the tables are not too close together, you can talk well. Cleanliness In a beer garden/terrace not everything pickobello can be clean. That's all conscious and that's why I can't take stars here. Number of persons: 2 turnover: approx. 70 EURO"
