"I discovered Pedros about 3 years ago a few weeks before I moved away from spennymoor. We really enjoyed our food, and when we moved we would joke saying that we missed pedros and said that it was sad that none of the local takeaways were as good. Today, I had to return to spennymoor to visit a family member so we thought that we should visit pedros for a quick bite to eat. We drove for 20 minutes trying to call but there was never an answer. After finally getting to pedros there was two customers in (current maximum due to COVID) and neither of them were wearing a mask. After standing inside for about 10 minutes, one of the three girls at the front finally asked, what my order was ... I told her I hadn’t even ordered yet!!! Then once I ordered I paid, already disappointed at the service already, she then tells me that it’s cash only. Great during a pandemic when everyone is asking to pay contactless. No excuse really, not in this day and age. Clearly there’s a reason that they don’t accept card! Then it gets better ... after paying and she gives me my change ... she THEN tells me it’s over half an hour for the food. What a joke. I walked back to my partner in the car and told him and he said that we should just get our money back ... at this point there was a queue out the door for people to be served. I am so disappointed in the service. If it’s going to be 30 minutes for food when you go in and order that’s just a joke. 30 mins for collection or delivery then fine. Hell I’ll wait longer, no problem. But after calling for 20 minutes, waiting 10 minutes inside to even be spoken to, then to be told it’s 30 minutes for food well after already paying. Also another customer asked if the takeaway had any menus no they did not. What takeaway doesn’t have menus. She told him to look at the Facebook page ... after looking at all three pages on Facebook when driving over to spennymoor, what’s the point in checking their Facebook page because it’s either 2019 or 2016 the last time they updated the page, so you have no hope of that being the correct menu ... oh and guess what, it’s not. The prices are different. What a joke, the three girls working on the 15th of August really need to be spoken to about their customer service. I’ve worked in hospitality for 4 years so I understand what it’s like to work in a busy and high intense environment but the lack of service is disgusting. Here’s to seeing if the food is just as good and sadly, even if it’s super tasty, I still give it a 1 star because of bad service. I won’t be coming back, regardless of taste! Disappointing!"

Useless, can't get a basic order right. I can accept basic mistakes but no fries with 2 meals, no sauces as requested. Far better sticking to KFC

Our 1st time at this food establishment... The portions are really filling and the quality is beautiful to the taste buds I will be visiting here again... Well recommended

Walked out after looking around at the state of the place and being spoke to like an idiot from some kid. If the two kids want to chat and ignore customers just stay at home

im not impressed, i ordered from here yesterday and i’ve been up all night being sick!! burnt chicken and it was covered in garlic so you couldn’t see the burnt chicken! will not be going EVER again Voir le carte

They use to be so good now they can’t even get my order right and don’t even apologise or try to fix it but instead they hang up and the food is completely plain with no taste ! Wouldn’t recommend for any peri peri dishes

Ordered as a change to the usual takeaway. Reasonably priced and food ready for collection in 20 minutes. Husband tried the burger, I had the chicken strips marinated in a medium peri peri sauce. Spicy rice very good and a nice fresh salad too. All boxed and piping hot. Would definitely order from here again.

We have used pedos for a while and it’s was always lovely. Not sure what has happened but we went last night and the chips are now rotten they used to be so nice. There was not many and most had holes but had been cooked, looked like frozen chips! I would not normally write a review but I rang the shop last night to feedback and they just put me on hold Obviously they dont value their customers either Voir le carte

Have tried this place a few times and the food is absolutely delicious. We work locally and normally there's a few of us who order and we go and collect it! Food is tasty and there's never any complaints from us. Prices are brilliant for the amount of food you get and you get plenty. Food is very healthy depending on what you order. There's also a few veggie options available too which are also very nice and of good portion sizes. Do come and try this place! You'll love it.

I loved it here from the first time I went, the chicken was nice, the chips are good and the garlic bread was lovely.The chicken breast I got was very close to the standard of a nando's however slighlty drier; but for the taste and value you cannot complain.The meals are healthy, depending on what you get, but the chicken is good and the chips aren't greasy. They have varying levels of spice to suit kids and adults.Overall, a cheaper, healthier Nando's that is local and deliver, great service, and great food.My only complaint would be that you can't use card or pay online yet.
