"Arguably this parador is one of the best if not the best in Spain for setting and service. The dining room is big and not too charming but the glass enclosed gallery behind is the opposite backing the garden grounds. They were catering a wedding but the gallery component was unperturbed indeed the guests outside provided sort of live entertainment. Good service. We had a tortu de Verano , sort of thin toasts topped with grilled vegetables and, since they serve half rations, one of the traditional dish of Asturias, fabada (beans with chorizo and blood pudding). With that and some traditional arroz con leche (rice pudding) all washed down with an excellent Navarra rose we were more than satisfied and well served by very attentive personnel. It can be intuited why this Parador receives such high ranking. The oversight by the Manager is constant and excellent."

Yes the food was good at Breakfast and Dinner with a choice. Good service. Choice of seating in the conservatory or the main dining room. The chairs in the conservatory are not comfortable.

Stayed two nights half board. Breakfasts and evening meals up to normal Parador standard. One of the friendliest places we have stayed. Great location for the Picos de Europa rivers, mountains and villages.

I love all paradors, but particularly love the restaurant at Cangas de Onis: There’s a dedicated cheese bar. Fantastic wine is €3.50 a glass. The pilgrim scallops are to diiiiiiiie for. My boyfriend loved the pork ribs. Highly recommend!

Wanted to have lunch in Cangas de Onis city was so crowded that we choose the quiet location of this Parador hotel was a great choice. We had a quick lunch in the cheese bar excellent chicken sandwich and salad. Service was efficient and with a smile food was great location is beautiful. Overall recommended for a quiet eating experience and great food!

We ate in the restaurant of the parador onis cangas, a beautiful place both for the nature that surrounds it and for the architecture of the building, a wonder. the attention of the person, exquisite and very correct. the food, 10 to 10. coming to a very rich croquette, and then one dish each, I ate calfskin's solomillo accompanied by potatoes and peppers, the meat was delicious. Also a rice was requested in the caleya pitu oven of the aramo saw (recipe of the holidays and two of the confite of the duck, all very good. three desserts were asked, I a dessert of three chocolates ... pure art, a pot (comestible) full of land (cococococococococolate edible) ... was precious, worth eating jejeee....
