"We came here on a last minute hunt to find a Sunday roast with family without much expectations. However when entering its a lovely set up and we were greeted by Lee and Alison who looked after us for the meal who just to begin were absolutely brilliant, they really care about the customers and make this place extra special. Now for the food you can get a 2 or 3 course meal so everybody made various selections but all had starters. Most went for the Aarancina which isn't your usual starter with a Sunday roast but for here it packs alot of flavour and is a great way to start the meal. They have a great selection of alcoholic beverages I went for a simple beer. For the main roasts we had a variety of meats I wanted the pork but sadly they had no crackling which was half the reason for ordering but if I am being honest after eating the meal it wasn't missed out the meat was tasty full of flavour but the sides were the key. The roast potatoes were of a top level usually when you eat out they are never as good as eating at home, the Yorkshire were huge and tasty, gravy brilliant with plenty to go around and lots of veg and cauliflower cheese on the side. Honestly this was excellent a really good roast probably the best I have ever ate in a resteraunt. Some of the others had the lamb shank which was huge and had great feedback but the beef was great and so was everything else. So yes check it out eat in and eat some great food in a nice setting with absolutely brilliant service you won't be disappointed."

"This takeaway did used to be pretty good but has got progressively worse over our last three orders. Last nights offering was barely lukewarm on arrival, 45 minutes later than stated (over 2 hour wait). The food was pretty shocking, prawns and meat over cooked, flavourless tandoori, jalfrezi with no flavour and a ridiculous amount of heat, awful nans, stuffed purata with no fillings I could go on. All I can think is this place must have changed hands as although we have had the occasional average meal over many years of custom, nothing has been quite as consistently bad as recent offerings. Sorry to say but we will no longer be ordering from them."

"in brsintree over 6 years or quite often. out of any reason was never here to eat, although I love a good Indian meal, perhaps csuse my two teenage kids taste buds have changed to Indian food. first time Saturday 4 feb 2017. good decor, great service, there were three of us, we shared 4 appetizers, and had about 12 cheerful main and side. all the dishes were hot, excellent aromen, generous sizes and all meat dishes especially huhn was excellent quality meat well cooked a damp not dry. my personal highlights were king prawn puri starter and chilli chicken tikka massala. prices may be medium to slightly high, but they pay for quality, and I was more than happy to do this. we will certainly go back."

"Won't be going back. We used to live in Braintree and this was our go to Friday night Fish and chips takeaway. Went back yesterday as our local Chip van is getting a little expensive and the potion size is slipping. But wish we had not bothered travel the 12 mile round trip. The fish was a good size, but the chips potion had got a lot smaller. But that is where the prize stops. The fish was overcooked Dry and chewy and the Chips were under cooked and did not taste very nice.they had all stuc=k together by the time we got home. In my opinion this Takeaway has gone down hill since Covid a lot like many other takeaways and restaurants. Sorry but not worth the money or the time for a good Takeaway."

"What can I say….We held our wedding dinner and impromptu party ! on the mezzanine floor and had the time of our lives with our nearest and dearest. It’s been a pretty special place for us as we dined at the House by Hilly Gant to check the area out before moving from London and so as we were having a small wedding of 22 people we felt this was the best place to have our wedding. Suzanne and the team could not have done anything more to make our afternoon and evening so perfect. The food was outstanding and our guests were very impressed Harry and his cocktail making skills are second to none. Huge shout out to all the kitchen staff who’s attention to detail and timings were spot on. Leading up to the day itself Suzanne took charge and offered her expert advice on how to dress the room and made so much effort with our requirements. 3 children and 1 baby as part of the guest list! . The beef in particular was spectacular and the chocolate fondant was sublime. We honestly didn’t want to leave. After dinner Suzanne was able to crank the music up and we had a little party ensuring all the guests downstairs were still well looked after our friends were actually dining downstairs and were able to join us towards the latter part of the evening! From the bottom of our hearts thank you so much to everyone for making it so special for us. I’m not surprised that you were recently awarded your second rosette, totally deserved. For anyone looking for quality food, locally sourced, and beautifully executed this is the place to come. SEE YOU SOON and thank you again x"
