Nel Parco - Carte

We are living in Nuremberg since years and this restaurant is our favorite one! We go every month. The tiramisu is the best, all the plates deserved to be tasted. Good wine, really nice small terrasse in summer and reasonable prices. A must if...you like Italian cuisine.

We were looking forward to this restaurant and were heavily disappointed. The food was cooked without the love of Italian cuisine, the veal dish was on one side cold and the staff did not seem to be motivated at all. 'Schwamm drüber' as the German say - or freely translated 'Seen it, forget it'.

The atmosphere is lovely. I dined in the outdoor seating area with a large group. The service was very attentive and offered to put together appetizers for the large group. We were not disappointed by the antipasto selection. Everything was delicious. Their house wine is also lovely. I selected a truffle ravioli and was impressed. I savored every bite. Voir le carte

The food served is excellent. Especially the home made noddle rols are a specialty of the house. The overall selection is a bit limited, but is compensated by a lot of day specialties.The staff seems to be real italian and concerned to ensure an italien ambiente.The restaurant is located a bit outside the town center and has a large garden, where you can eat in the summer. I did not look inside, but I guess it is equally nicely decorated.

We visited Nel Parco on a weekday early evening and were the only group in the restaurant. The host/owner/waitress was extremely friendly and helped us English speakers through the German menu of Italian food. She graciously explained each dish on the menu. The food was all great, from the kids' spaghetti to the fish and meat dishes. The buffalo mozzarella was especially tasty for an appetizer. All our dinners came with enormously delicious and well-cooked vegetables--some incredibly savory spinach, roasted potatoes and a tomato mixture. The place might be a bit tough to find as it is nestled in the back of a nice city park. I am anxious for spring to come back as the outdoor garden seating...

Drawn back from the road between some buildings it's easy to miss Nel Parco. But it's a very cosy place with both indoor and outdoor seating. The terrace is surrounded by a lot of trees (a little park) and the withdrawn location means that the street-noise is not as dominant as the location on a map would indicate. There's also access to Nel Parco through the little park behind the restaurant. There's a standard menu and then they have a daily menu hanging on the wall. 8-10 courses on the daily menu, prices between 8 - 20€. Wine both by glass and bottle. Most of the pasta dishes are vegetarian. My pasta meal with Gorgonzola-sauce and walnuts was very well prepared. And for a price of only 10...

Our ordered dishes not only tasted excellent, but were also beautifully served, without using superfluous decoration elements. The standard menu is not very long, though there are several always changing dishes in offer, so that you can always try something new when you come again. There are no pizzas on the menu and we did not miss them at all. The portions are just the right size to enjoy the dinner, without regretting it afterwards for eating too much. The red wine recommended by the staff was also excellent and so were the deserts.At first, I was not very fascinated by the looks of the ambient inside, though it proved to be very cozy.
