"What a strange place. We ended up at the Mykonos as we could get into Chico 's down the road. From the outside the restaurant looked clean and a bit quirky so we went in. We would see that a number of tables had reserved signs on them so we took that as a good sign. The waiters said that they would clear a table for us so we stayed. Once we had sat down we noticed a few things that we thought odd. Firstly there was no drinks menu at all, secondly all the signs, including the table reserved signs, were handwritten. Finally, even though the restaurant had only just opened, we were told certain dishes were off the menu. Our starters arrived and we started to get a clue as to why previous reviewers had given Mykonos such a low score. The mussels were just a few supermarket ones in a bland tomato sauce no chilli and the dips that came had just been emptied out of ready made pots and were accompanied by 1/3 of a single pitta bread ? After out starters we were told that we should keep our used cutlery for the mains !!! The mains were again rather bland. The souvlaki was small and still partly raw in the middle and the meatballs were no better than supermarket own brand however you would 've had more from the supermarket . In the hour that we spent in the restaurant 8:00pm to 9:00pm no one else arrived and it quickly become obvious that the reserved signs were a ploy to make the restaurant seem busier. All in all a disappointing experience. Although the waiters were friendly this didn 't compensate from all the above. Give Mykonos a miss. There are much better restaurants in the local area."

The freshly prepared authentic Greek cuisine was amazing. The staff was very friendly and patient with my six-year-old child. I can't wait to visit again, the food was so delicious!

A friendly, family run restaurant with delightful staff and delicious, fresh, home cooked food. There was nothing specifically vegan on the menu but they were happy to prepare me a vegan mezze platter, which was lovely, the garlic dip is fantastic.

I was looking for a Greek restaurant closer to home and decided to try this one. Despite its unappealing appearance, I didn't judge it right away. Unfortunately, the portions were tiny and overpriced, and the food was not very tasty. I will stick with Olive Garden in the future as it's worth the extra travel and never disappoints. Me and my partner thought we would try this restaurant as we love Mediterranean food. We were greeted by a very pleasant you man. Yes it was quite but obviously a new restaurant but one that would become busier in high season. The food was lovely and we were informed that it was a family run restaurant. Best of luck for the future.

We (6) selected this at random when looking for somewhere to eat in the evening. The menu was limited (more coming soon we were assured) but varied, with plenty for greek-food fans but also for those preferring more ordinary food. The service (Mario) was attentive without being over-bearing, he was happy to talk about greek-food, the history of the restaurant, out holiday to date and so on. £120 for six people (five starters, six mains, two desserts, drinks). As I've written in other reviews the key test is would I go back ot look around locally for something better? I'd deffo go back.

Visited on a Thursday, when we walked in and saw it empty we should have known! The food was the worst meal I’ve had, and I’m disappointed as my hesband is Greek and we hoped for better! We ordered the souvlaki and the mousakka. The souvlaki came with half a piece of pitta, half a tomato and a bit of cuecumber. The chips that we were assured were French fries, were thick bits of potato fried in the oldest worst smelling oil. When we asked for more pitta we were charged. My mousakka was worse than a microwave meal with a bit of aubergine inside that was so hard my knife wouldn’t even go through it. I feel cheated that I’ve paid to have a meal that we didn’t even eat and we ended up eating els... Voir le carte

We were having a look for some dinner and nearly walked past this restaurant. Although I'd suggest maybe trying to make it look a bit more appealing from the outside, we were all very pleased we decided to eat there. We all stuck to the Greek food and purposely avoided the steaks, etc. Why go to a Greek restaurant and eat steak chips? There's plenty of restaurants around offering that kind of food. Anyway, back to the Greek food.....we all thought the food was delicious and some commented that it tasted as good as anything they've had when eating in Greece. All the food was freshly made, we had starters, mains and desserts. I had the Beef Stifado.....it was amazing and the beef was melt in t...

I don't know where to start with this review. We were a group of 11, including 3 children, who stopped at this restaurant for a meal after a late visit from Cambridge to Great Yarmouth. It was after 9pm and the place was empty, but the owner was accommodating and seated us all. However, many of the drinks we ordered were not available and the portions of our starters were tiny, despite us requesting larger portions. The olives were cheap and the halloumi was scarce for a group of 11. Our mains took over an hour to arrive, and when they did, they were inedible. The pasta was overcooked and the seafood was low quality. The meat was also disappointing, with chips soaked in old oil. We paid a hi...

"An exceptionally unique dining experience! Our holiday companion booked Pamela’s for dinner and we were unsure of what to expect, however we were assured of good quality food and a great experience and we certainly were not disappointed. Upon arrival we were shown to a table in the lounge, provided with the menus and ordered drinks. Service is exceptionally professional and friendly from arrival to departure. The decor is most unique and very fun to take in. The upstairs dining room is more casual and I loved watching the chefs in the open kitchen. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. Our vegetarian diner was slightly limited for choice and there was a blip with the main course, however it was handled and recovered very well (we were unaware when booking, however we have now been advised to phone ahead a minimum of 24-hours and special meal arrangements can be made in advance for vegetarian meals). The fish cakes and miso Salmon were very delicious and cooked to perfection. The duck legs had crispy skin, moist meat and a tasty accompanying Orzo pasta. All in all I would thoroughly recommend Pamela’s for a delicious meal with 5* service. Vegetarian options: Recommended to advise the restaurant a minimum of 24-hours in advance. There were 2 starters and 1 main course (featuring pasta on all dishes) on the a la carte menu, however if you call in advance then arrangements can be made."

"We booked the rest restaurant for 5:30pm to have dinner (2 adults and 2 young children). When we arrived, the waitress took our name and booking details and asked us to wait until the table was ready. We waited, waited, and waited for the waitress to return 15minutes on, and making conversation with other guests who looked frustrated at also waiting around, we were taken to our table at the back. Our kids were starving, so we immediately placed the order for starters, mains AND drinks together. The drinks were taking a long time to arrive, so my wife gave the kids water from their beaker water bottle. Our drinks arrived after 20mins from ordering, and asking for them twice. The restaurant was quite busy, but we could see that there were lots of other guests trying to catch the attention of the staff members, and could hear arguments on the other end of the restaurant. After an hour, our starters had still not arrived, so my wife asked how long it would be. The waitress said she would go check and come back. After 15minutes, I asked another waitress to give us an update. The waitress came back and said that our starters were being cooked and would be out in 10minutes we sighed relief, and told our kids that food was coming. We realised that food was clearly taking a long time to cook, so said to the waitress to bring our starters and mains together, rather than waiting around we had plans onwards, and it had been over an hour already since placing the order. After another 20minutes, we asked the waitress where our starters were, as she had said it was 10minutes away. This time, a very rude (manager) came to our table and said that our starters were at the back of the queue, as we had asked for the starters to be brought with the mains! This was absolutely pathetic, and we mentioned that our kids were starving, as it had been 90minutes since placing our order. The manager said that this is normal and offered us complimentary prawn crackers (but charged us for the dips, which we later realised). After another 45minutes and seeing other guests arguing about the same issue, we saw comfort that we weren 't the only ones in this mess. Our kids were starving so ate the prawn crackers in a hurry. When the food arrived, it was bedtime for the kids, so we asked for the bill and takeaway boxes. The bill arrived with a 10% service charge and additional cost for the complimentary prawn crackers. I asked the waitress to deduct the 10% service charge and queried the complimentary prawn crackers, and if there was anything they could do by way of discount for the lengthy delay. The rude manager came out and started shouting at us, saying that he doesn 't like families with young children in his fancy restaurant, and he cannot offer a discount as we would be leaving a negative review. I couldn 't believe he was saying this almost bullying us into leaving a positive review! Our kids were crying, so I said to give me the card machine for me to pay using AMEX. The manager said that they don 't accept AMEX, but I highlighted that he 's got a AMEX sign outside the door. Infact, he was using a AMEX wallet in which the receipt came. He was very offensive and said that it 's his business and he can do what he wants photos of the AMEX sign outside uploaded. I would avoid visiting this restaurant and I would suggest Trading Standards look into how this man operates a business very rudely."
