"A great little lunch find during our recent trip to Munich was the Muenchner Suppenkueche at Viktualienmarkt in the Old Town. This is a popular place for locals and tourists interested in reasonably priced, very good bowls of homemade soup. Opening hours are 10am to 6pm daily (closed on Sundays) There was a queue when we arrived, which is usually a good sign. Wall menu is in German but we found a small English menu near the two order windows. During our visit we tried the Signature beef goulash and a daily special of carrot-coconut-ginger soup. In short, both bowls were delicious. The goulash was rich and a tad bit spicy. Have to admit we both liked it a bit better with a bit of tabasco added to the bowl. The carrot-coconut-ginger soup was outstanding, very creamy texture, slightly sweet with a bit of kick from the ginger. It was a great bowl. Had we not had meal plans line up for the next couple of days, we would have eagerly returned for another round. As for seating, there are a handful of outside tables and a few high tables in front and just behind the kitchen area as well. Tables were rather full when we arrived. Turnover is rather quick though so if you're patient you should be able to grab a table or seat somewhere without waiting."

A nice option for a cold winter day. The variety is enoyght large and the food is quality. It could be better, but it's a restaurant in a market so it's perfect.

came here on a Saturday noon, very nice surroundings and cozy seating. Vibrant soup with crushed pancake was interesting and a good surprise. Beef also had goulash, which was a good contrast to soup. Come back here. Voir le carte

I have eaten here on every visit to Munich for over 20 years, and my husband, since he was a child. The soups never disappoint. Fantastic staff, amazing soups (especially the Lebeknodel suppe! My children love their butter chicken and goulash too!

So my review is pure as a soup kitchen and no restaurant. First, the staff is amazing and very helpful. They went through all the soups so I can make an educated decision. I have the goulash and bread. I had a lot of goulash, but that was the hands I've ever had. I also went down half a black to get a hot dog to go with it, but the soup was so hard that I really don't have to. If you like soup, go here. If you want something delicious, go here. If it's a cold day, go here.

"This restaurant has a very informative homepage! The pictures and descriptions of the food very appealing. Vietnamese and Thai dishes and sushi are offered here. At noon very cheap offers, but also the prices for evening are still ok. When I read that a lot of value is placed on fresh ingredients and preparation, that sounds promising in any case. The images from the local area also made me positive. I chose the place to eat there with a group of 8 people. But I'd rather go to the number safe and wanted to make a small pre-test today. When I stood in front of the place, I remembered that I've been here a few times when it was the Mistura Tropicana. I had this from the ambience and the temperatures but not so good memories. It has changed visually but very positively. Much dark wood and also dark tables, chairs and benches. The walls in a beautiful cream yellow. In front of the windows the green curtains are a beautiful color pick. As usual in more and more restaurant 's, the bar is illuminated indirectly with LED, here in a green. My accompaniment didn't find it too good, but I did. Only disturbing for me was a bright, bright metal tree in the entrance area. I don't think it's the rest of the place. LEIDER was very cool. The oven was probably turned on quite late. It became a bit warmer during the evening. Nevertheless, I would strongly recommend a cardigan here. The tables are very nicely covered and there are small floral decorations and tea lights. But they only burn at the tables that are occupied and that was only our table at 6:00. At about 10 a.m. there was another couple, otherwise the place remained empty. The service was super friendly and super attentive and yet with restraint. At dinner I did not discover my beloved Bo La Lot on the map, a pity! So my choice fell on baked Wantan (3,90€) that are made themselves. They were already at the table. That really went very hard. But they were really made themselves. The filling is quite captive/compact (I lack the appropriate word to describe it better, but well tasted. They were very crispy. Sweet Chili Sauce also tasted good. We didn't have to wait long for the main courts. Once roasted rice ribbon noodles with chicken (10,50€ and once red curry with tofu and vegetables (9,50€ . Great that they are placed in bowls on a small tree, so the dishes are warm longer. The dishes were served in beautiful bowls. Only the parsley as decoration is already very retro; taste also very good. Vegetables had a slight bite. Beverage prices: 0.4l water for 2.50€, soft drinks/choices 0.4l for 3,50€ and wine 0.2l for 4,00€. And unfortunately again here the beer is cheaper than a soft drink: 0.5l for 3.50€. Our desire for separate invoices was met without any problems and we were offered an espresso or schnapps etc. Here we liked to pamper with a plum wine. There are still a few small comments: Sushi is not available for the next 14 days (Sushimeister has vacation we only experienced on request, I would have liked to know as an info if the menu is handed over toilets are in the basement, so not disabled. However clean, although very 70s The customer parking places are not freed from snow (request: obviously the evaluation was read, because at the 2nd. Visit was the snow cleared A few words to the 2nd visit with 8 people: The place was not overly crowded again, but there was a birthday party in the basement that had only made karaoke and from 20/20.30 we went up to the restaurant for dinner, but we had just been in the break. Service very nice and friendly. Beverages and food were often served only from one side and we guests should then pass on, we all found a little disturbing. Better 4 guests from one side and the other 4 then from the other side. There was Krupuk. Afterwards we still have mango with a mixture of salt, garlic, chili and shrimp powder get VERY sharp, interesting and tasty. In addition, candied ginger (also delicious . All ordered dishes have been good and very good! Only the fact that Pangasius was panned in the Rotcurry was not so beneficial. Because he was covered with redcurry, the panade was very soft and gly. Either I got to serve it separately from each other or better: use Pangasius nature. In the menu there was no indication of panade. Portions all very big! Service and food have definitely convinced me and I also like the ambience. (Okay, except on the flashing LED tree."
