"I have been visiting this restaurant on and off since it opened many years ago but unfortunately it has really gone downhill. Our Table was in a terrible location, virtually in the walkway to the bar, the waitress was not very professional and there was absolutely no ambience in the restaurant. The only positive was our wine waiter (A geordie gentleman but I did not get his name) who was very polite, knowledgeable and professional. The Grill on the hill restaurant now seems to be a poor relation to the function rooms on the complex. I will not be returning again."

Great food served to a superb standard and the service was excllent lovely decor, quiet room with plenty of space and even a great view of the sunset. 10/10

The restaurant was empty so it was like our own private dining experience, we never felt uncomfortable even though we were the only ones there and the food and service were excellent. Can’t wait to go back

Great food and stunning location , the waiting on staff was polite and helpful. The food was fairly pricey but it's not all about the food, it's more about the whole experience and in my opinion it was worth every penny

Enjoyed this occasion but I would normally give full stars on this occasion just didn’t quite meet the usual perfect. Will try again as it could have been a one off. Slower service and food not quite as perfect as usual.

We celebrated my beautiful Mom's birthday with a Sunday lunch. The meal was delicious and the service from the lady Manager was exceptional. They accommodated my gluten-free dietary needs throughout the meal, and we all had a wonderful time. Thank you.

The welcome at this hotel and restaurant is incredibly friendly, and the staff really make the experience special. The food was served piping hot, which is not always the case at other restaurants. The atmosphere was relaxing yet inviting. The portion size was generous and offered good value for the price. The service was top-notch, with nothing to fault.

We visited on a Friday night and were surprised at how quiet it was. During the whole evening only 8 people dined and four of those were us. The food portions were huge and on the whole it was good, but the steaks were a little tougher than they could have been and they could have done with a sauce or jus. Staff were lovely and chatty and the service was excellent.
