"Disappointing New Year 's Eve menu unfortunately not recommended On December 31st we attended the New Year 's Eve buffet with a group of 8 people. The first impression when entering the restaurant was quite positive: we were warmly welcomed and the Western style ambience conveyed a cozy, authentic atmosphere. After the welcome, we were led to the upper area, where we quickly discovered that the temperatures there were almost unbearable almost 30 degrees Celsius. In addition, we unfortunately sat next to a very loud table with over 20 people, which further dampened the mood. Of course, such mishaps cannot always be avoided, but they added to our discomfort. Then we went to the buffet – and here came the big disappointment. What would we have expected from a New Year 's Eve buffet at a steakhouse? Certainly not mountains of steaks or beef fillets, but at least a selection of typical steakhouse dishes. Instead we found spaetzle, goulash, dumplings, chicken, tomato mozzarella, salads and ready made ice cream. The food was generally okay, but it was more reminiscent of an average buffet like you would find in any hotel for 20 30 euros not a culinary specialty that you would associate with a special occasion like New Year 's Eve. After dinner we looked forward to the live music from Susal , which was announced for 7:30 p.m. Unfortunately the performance didn 't start until 40 minutes later. The sound quality was also poor, which was probably due to our seat being at the top. The singer herself seemed more like an entertainer for the numerous children in the bar, which didn 't really improve the atmosphere. After almost two hours, exhausted by the oppressive heat and the noise of the children around us, we decided to call it a night. To make matters worse, we had to pay €650 for our 8 person table for the entire evening a price that was not justified given the quality on offer. Conclusion: The restaurant may be recommended in normal operation, but it is definitely not the right choice for a New Year 's Eve buffet. The food was not at all what we expected and the general atmosphere was far from a successful end to the year."

"Has been one of our regular places already and now has been taken over by son. Quality of food has increased even more. Meat super tender, almost falling apart. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Zillertal. Highly recommended."

"Wir sind von Ramsau nach Zell gewandert und sind hier eingekehrt. Es gibt hier nicht nur Torten und Eis. Da wir Hunger hatten, konnten wir Nudeln, Brot, Mehlspeisen und noch mehr aus dem Angebot aussuchen. Mein Mann hatte Spaghetti Bolognese und ich einen Germknödel. Ich habe das erste Mal einen Germknödel gegessen und ich fand ihn sehr süß. Für mich zu süß, aber ich weiß nicht ob dieses normal ist. Aber was ich hier noch unbedingt essen möchte sind Torten. "Das Frühstucksbüffet ist einfach nur ausgezeichnet. Da passte Alles: täglich frischer Obstsalat ohne Zuckerzusatz, sehr große auswahl an Vollkorngebäck, top Aufschnitt, lecker Kaffee und Tee. Alles sehr liebevoll eingerichtet.Das Service mega freundlich und zuvorkommend.Der Welnessbereich (mit 3 verschiedenen Saunen!!) mit den Panoramafenstern und Aussicht auf dem Zillertal - atemberaubend!Die Zimmer sind sehr witzig gestaltet, es gibt keine 2 gleichen Zimmer.Das einzige was uns etwas gestört hat: unser Zimmer war leider sehr laut, lag aber wahrscheinlich an der Lage des Zimmers direkt über dem Haupteingang und der Küche.Wir fühlten uns die ganze Woche sehr wohl und möchten das Hotel wärmstens weiterempfehlen!!"

"the zenzerwirt is for us a duty visit on every holiday and that has many good reasons!Even whatever you eat, it has really been great! started with the soups that are all always very deliciously dressed. not too strict, not too lazy, very well prepared and with a wide selection. in the main course I eat here more often the grill plate, nothing special in general, however you pay attention to details it is really good. the bark is medium, for me absolutely perfect, super delicate and good in taste. the wing is beautifully brown, slightly crispy and super delicate inside, so that you do not need a knife in part. similar is the case in the case of a pig, which is located at other places, similar to the bark, a bit too tough and shoe sols-like. not so at the zenzerwirt. you get good, non-fat-triefing pommes, nicely made vegetables and a wide selection of dips. the bachforelle was very good, the entrecote very tender, medium, with great sauce and - like all dips - nicely dressed. very recommended are also the salads, just with the sprinkled garnels an absolute narrow. who after the big portions still has space for dessert will not be disappointed here too. the apfelstrudel is super tasty, mohr in the hemd also very enjoyable and a good conclusion of the food, if there is still room for it;) in general: all the foods are even more favorable due to the amount and quality. for many years I have seen only 2 waiters at the zenzerwirt and they are both very good. courtesy, very professional, but not cold. it is not too full to have for a short chat and always very hard to do everything right. The zenzerwirt has certainly not the fullest menu of the valley, but I would make sure that you don't find anything in the (free from the memory) about 18 things. If you decide something you can be sure that you will have a great meal on the table and that at an absolutely solid price! the outside area offers a lot of space, with several people you will also be able to put tables together. there are evenings with live music in which you will be accompanied with a little folk music. only problem: it is so popular that you could have a spot just in winter. just with 4 people go out sometime the places. simply reserve it or try it spontaneously. we have already found space with 8 people in winter. everything is actually always tried to make it right to the hospitable."
