"After we have tried various places to eat on a bank holiday to discover it completely booked or rude fellow workers, we have luck with our 5th attempt. it was so refreshing to be welcomed and informed, there were food available. our friends were vegan and this place had a lot of choice surprising for them! we had happy to arrive during the happy hour 2 for 1 cocktails. I chose a distinctive mojito that was made beautiful. for beginners I really wanted to taste chicken wings or the mac n cheese, but I worship bulton. When that came, it was just like the one my friend had brought back from Malawi. it was convenient to use a paper bag that offers a medium for snacks later and kitty tasty. for the net order all hate one? a thick broth plate, filled with various meats such as lamb or pebbles. I had a bobadi dish that were baked with mint. all seasoned were perfect and generous. overall really good service and a beautiful variety especially for vegan vegan vegans."

"Nous sommes venus ici parce que c'était un établissement de restauration sans gluten. Le personnel était vraiment sympathique et l'ambiance générale de l'endroit était très professionnelle. Notre nourriture est venue et c'était hors de ce monde. La présentation sur les assiettes était incroyable. J'ai vraiment apprécié mon repas, d'autant plus que je n'avais pas à me soucier d'être saturé. La carte des desserts était super. Mon partenaire et moi-même avons choisi les crêpes protéinées et encore une fois, la présentation était fantastique. Ils étaient vraiment aussi beaux qu'ils avaient goûté. J'ai hâte de visiter à nouveau"

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."

"AMAZING FOOD! I ordered the vegetarian pho with tofu and veggie chicken (which was delicious and the portion size was huge! This bowl is bigger than my head. Their menu prices have gone up slightly compared to another photo you might find in reviews but it is still great prices for great food and lovely service, staff went out of their way for me and made sure to say goodbye even when they were enjoying their own lunch! Would recommend, even the coffee was lovely :"

"Took a trip here on Friday night after being in the Quays for the day, we fancied something authentic and chose here purely on the basis of reviews, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The restaurant probably seats about 20 and when we turned up there was a full table of 8 and a table of 2, the atmosphere was great and from arriving to leaving, and through the turnover of tables during the night, the vibe never went flat one bit. The food was really, really nice, we stayed on the Indian side of the menu and were not disappointed with the shami and chicken malai starters, then the plentiful main courses of chicken karahi and jalfrezi with real juicy garlic naans were so nice, we stuffed the lot! Big shout out to Lax who looked after us and everyone else on the night, he was attentive to each table and kept the flow going really well. Next time we’re that way for a night out, we’ll most definitely return, in the meantime I hope the recommendation helps"
