"wow, what a great place! can not believe that we were here 2 previous winter season without discovering this jewel of an orte! my mother and dad who were visited discovered the place because it is so high rated for gluten-free meal times (my mother is coeliac). so glad they did. it has become my new favorite restaurant. it closes for a couple of weeks vacation, but once it opens again, we will be definitiw regularly! beautiful eating and weeping and fabulous customer service! thank you! we will come back and we will bring friends and customers!"

"Quiet spot for a good evening meal. Set amongst a residential area just outside La Cala de Mijas. Easy walk from our accommodation. Small, basic restaurant in terms of decor and style. Not particularly busy the evening we visited, mainly couples 50 years plus. Simple menu, approx. 6 dishes for starters main course. Good portion size, homely, tasty cooking at reasonable prices. It isn’t lively but a pleasant experience with friendly staff."

"After three years absence we’re back visiting the parents and traditional first night meal is always at the sheriffs. A short walk from where we stay and an staggering distance home. Firstborn has been dreaming about the onion soup starter since our last visit, from all accounts it didn’t disappoint. Spouse had the croquettes and I had a roasted pepper salad, both excellent. Second born had bread and butter slathered in alioli and still smelt delightful the next day. Dad inhaled the mussels; ‘very good’ while experimental mum had garlic bread. I didn’t ask how that was, it’s garlic bread. My mains was a pork Skewer chips and salad. I felt like Zorro, it was a **** sword. Excellent though. Spouse’s garlic chicken was ‘ok, not enough sauce’. Kids had a margarita pizza each which was ok but as firstborn said ‘you go to sheriffs for the soup, not pizza’. Mum had an ok lasagne (bit runny) and dad a peppered steak. No puds as they stopped the crème Catalan a few years ago. Spouse was fuming. They need to bring that back as it was banging. Then I had an Irish coffee which was aces. Sent me spinning which didn’t bode well as then the after meal schnapps came out and no one but me wanted them. In fact mum and spouse sent the poor guy back for their favoured caramel vodka. So I had three shots of peach schnapps (and it wasn’t the archers variety folks) and two of apple. As firstborn pointed out, ‘you don’t need to drink them dad’. So? Fight me. A triumphant return with minor niggles and looking forward to our return."

"My family live in Mijas so whenever i come over to visit we always go to Sai for an Indian as it has always been amazing.. until tonight. The service was terrible, the waiters were unfriendly, uncooperative and one of them had a terrible body odour problem. The food took ages to arrive and we had to ask what was going on after waiting so long. this has never happened before) the restaurant wasn’t busy so it didn’t make sense.when the food did arrive it wasn’t up to the usual standard at all. There are different waiters to when I last visited as I didn’t recognise anyone. The chances are it was a different chef too ..not impressed with our experience this evening. Such a shame when we have been using the restaurant regularly for years and have recommended it to everyone."
