what a beautiful surprise to find somewhere where such GREAT food is served near to home. our meal times were cooked to perfection with large meat, and beautiful vegetables (many of them also,) and served cake hot on hot plates that makes a pleasant change today. the service was great, eating was cooked in a fair time and the prices are also appropriate. we will definitely visit again.

We visited on Saturday and had yet another fantastic evening. The risotto starter is sublime. I had the duck in port sauce which is cooked deliciously and my husband had the sea bass which he enjoyed. The roast potatoes are the best I have ever eaten and the vegetables tasty. We squeezed a damson and apple crumble in for dessert. The house wine is always a good accompaniment, plus a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. If we were local we would definitely visit more often. Keep up the good work.

first impressions look very small from the front, the spatialities felt very relaxed and welcomed. claire and 1 staff we saw were very informative, all asked. we have tried to get in a fee time, but always booked weeks before, which is a great sign in booking from any place that is a small place, but feels at high end and eating is beautiful. we had 3 courses my partner is very fussy with steak, we both had stealing and was cooked to perfection. id highly recommend to book a table here, do not regret their choice. many thanks for a delightful night good service and great eating highly recommended will visit again safely

What's not to like? Beautiful restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere, with gentle music playing at background level. Staff all extremely calm and considered, no rushing around. As for the food... our starters were delicious and plentiful. The main had the freshest, most vibrant vegetables I've seen, clearly top end produce. I can undoubtedly say, the best piece of steak I've ever had! Zero waste and cooked perfectly! The garlic sauce and mushrooms I chose went with it perfectly. I also tasted my wifes, lamb shank and that too was gorgeous! Dessert was a homemade white chocolate brownie... wow, divine! Marloes had just taken my personal top spot for best restaurant I've eaten at! 5*

We booked for a surprise 70th birthday for my mum in 2020 but then had to postpone due to Covid. Claire has been amazing in helping us with our booking and kept in touch throughout, we were able to re book earlier this year and on Friday we celebrated my mums birthday. Nothing has been too much trouble and as a large party of 15 guests everything was simply perfect, our special thanks to Claire, Paul and the staff the food was delicious, hot and all served at the same time. The service was amazing all the girls are so helpful and friendly and we cannot thank you enough. We can’t wait to re visit again and we wish all the staff all the very best.
