"after our first visit last year to the stakewochen with friends we were just thrilled and wanted to come back. the ambiente and above all the food was incredibly appealing to us and we were completely satisfied. Now we were, with the same friends, back to the stakewochen.Leider we were very disappointed this time. the house was well visited and almost all the tables occupied. we got a nice 4-table.The drinks were first recorded. a drink was first served and gifted. only later the remaining drinks came. our order was recorded. the brot with the delicious butter was quickly served. The appetizers also came quickly. an appetizer came wrong, but was corrected without any condition. for this, we were again reordered. after refreshment at the service came the brot when the appetizer was almost eaten. 2 tables with 2 people came by now. our salat we then only received 1.5 hours after our order. the main court unfortunately had to wait. we waited so long that the two tables that came after us have already eaten and paid and we still had not the main dishes. my black medallions were unfortunately dry. after a small discussion with the service whether the meat is now good through or dry, my teller was taken along and the dish was re-prepared. because of this, I had to eat alone, because everyone was almost done. the tellerrand was decorated with a note key made of balsamico cream, pfeffer and a sorry also from balsamico (which I found really charming). this had to follow that I could hardly drop my cutlery and repeatedly ruined the hands. Unfortunately, only one of us was completely satisfied. a piece of meat was covered with a sehne and rather rare than medium rare. the second piece unfortunately had a very thick layer of fat that did not fulfill the purpose and thus remained raw on the plate. the even level was more rare here. at the payment we were offered a coffee on the house and you apologized for the mistakes. we had rejected the coffee. the wrong appetizer was not charged. I paid my meat, though. this was not quite understandable for me. unfortunately this house did not meet our expectations this time."

"nationwide makes herr kunz advertising with his michelin star for the "restaurant kunz". we received a advertisement from him for a "surprise menu in 5 courses" in the "restaurant kunz" and therefore four times the 50 km from saarbrücken to blew.Welch a disappointment: in the "star restaurant paper table cloths? brotteller to (absolutely great fresh cornbrot with butter, fleur de sel and schmalz) only on a true, but almost cold carrot soup. 2. gang a piece of fried makrele, quite dry, as this cheap fish hold is, but the least the beurre blanc was perfect for it..3. floor: a small egg with banana pieces. dry, i.e. a small white rhum odder gin would have done well to the ice. but to describe it as a gang, is already very questionable!4 gang 3 pieces of barbary duck breast, of the brat duration just at the rande of the acceptable but with large, non-essable overlapping skin edges. weed and red herb; a typical winter dinner on this beautiful spring day in April.Last walk a three-part dessert, served ini cheap Ikea glasses: a small egg with chocolate, a crème brulée and a warm moose without a marille. The only really positive in the restaurant kunz was the service by the 3 serving women: super friendly, from these we could also know that there is only one "restaurant kunz" but the michelin star only applies to a small, separate room for which you have to register. but we were also in the restaurant kunz, but stop in the fireplace room, which can only be called bistro (which is however heart kunz not and has led us - and certainly many others before us already - into the wrong; and that is probably in full intention.)But a word to the totally overlaid wine prices in this bistro: for a glass 0.1 l crémant d’alsace paid that was the only one comparable to a star restaurant."

"Visit on 07.06.2015 (see also review from 06.11.2014) General We were once again in the most beautiful beer garden St. Wendels. You must be lucky to get a table in nice weather and weekends. We were lucky, a suitable three table was just released when we were in the lasy beer garden at 19:30h. Service As usual, despite high-level operations, we were very busy and attentively served us this evening after a friendly welcome of the partner of the owner Ralf Riedschy. The drinks came fast, the food took a little longer, but we were told before. I shortened the 40 minutes waiting period with a deliciously refreshing Karlsberg Ur Pils from the barrel in the Steinkrug 0.5l to 3.60€, my companions had a dry Riesling and mineral water. From the small beer garden map we chose a salad “Rustikal” with roasted potatoes and fried eggs, a salad “palm” with fillet tips from beef and roasted mushrooms, as well as a flame cake with salmon. The salads consisted of crunchy fresh salads of the season, thinly covered with finely spiced, slightly piquant housewear, as well as various homemade tasty raw food salads, the perfectly roasted crispy roasted potatoes were crowned with a neat mirror egg, the fillet tips of the beef were plentiful, nicely tender and hand-made, at the flame. All again a beautiful evening in the “Palm”, great food in a beautiful ambience. As far as I can confirm my evaluation from November 2014 almost 1 to 1, only the prices were raised compared to the previous year, quite reasonable and still within the framework – so the salad “Rustikal” now costs 8,50€ instead of 8,00€ and the salad “Palme” recently 13,50€ instead of 12,00€ Criticism Visit to 23.06.2014 In the heart of St. Wendel, the most beautiful castle garden is the palm beer. In this green, lush oasis you can find on cozy basket chairs under powerful limes and beech and feels good. In addition to seasonal dishes, a beautiful selection of salads and self-made flame cakes from the rustic stone oven, the kitchen offers a changing lunch. Today we were back for lunch. I have often visited the restaurant in recent years, for lunch, for dinner. With my assessment, I would like to underline the continuity of the “palms” regarding the quality of service and kitchen. Service The waitress was friendly, attentive and fluttering. While we had a look at the small “Biergarten Card” on the table, she informed us about the current daily meal when ordering drinks. We ordered a large bottle of mineral water, which was well heated after a short time in the beverage cooler. Even the food came after a pleasant waiting period. Goats We had a salad “Rustikal” – fresh salads of the season with roast potatoes and fried eggs at 8.00 € and the daily dinner Paprika Rahm Schnitzel with croquets at 7.00 € and a small additional salad at 2.00 € As a greeting from the kitchen came a large herbal cucumber with freshly baked baguette. Rating: All ingredients were fresh, prepared from good quality and delicious. The salad, consisting of various leaf salads, iceberg salad and chicory leaves, has a delicious freshness and a well seasoned, picantly decorated cream dressing. Crude foods were carrot salad as well as two kinds of herbal salad, once coarsely cut and spicy, once finely sprinkled with a slightly sweet note. The roasted potatoes were finely cut and golden yellow crispy with a mirror egg roasted above. The daily meal, two small carvings beautifully thin, covered by a perfect panade and fried golden brown, was also very good. The sauce with green, yellow and red peppers (fresh and without canned) was delicious, but could have been more courageously spiced. The croquettes were flattered. Today the kitchen was able to convince and receives 4 stars"
