Our visit to Maison Francois was absolutely delightful. We arrived early, before the theatre, so the atmosphere was peaceful, and we enjoyed attentive service with plenty of space. The food was exceptional, bursting with freshness and flavor. We will certainly return!

Absolutely amazing! The steak meant for sharing was simply incredible—I could easily have polished it off on my own. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the decor is stunning. The food is good, and the service is adequate, but I get the impression that the management is more focused on maximizing profits than on being transparent with customers. For example, if a drink is included in the menu and a guest declines it, they won't even offer water as an alternative. Having dined at over 100 different restaurants in London, I've never encountered this before. Additionally, they apply a 15% service charge, which is higher than most places, and impose donation fees without seeking consent. We made a reservation for brunch at Maison Francois before the Christmas holiday. The food was decent but quite basic, and the atmosphere was notably lacking, even with the bustling crowd outside. I informed them of my mother’s allergy and requested special care, but one dish was served with a mix of seeds, which is extremely concerning for anyone with a nut allergy. When I inquired about it, I was told it was simply a peeled avocado on a plate and asked for one without the seeds. They returned, assuring me it contained no nuts, but I decided not to eat it, which seemed to surprise them. Unfortunately, the wine we selected at Maison Francois (£110) was excessively sharp and unpleasant, leading me to send it back. Rather than just taking it away, the head sommelier insisted on standing by our table to explain that this was the intended style of the wine, which felt dismissive and irrelevant. I expressed my dislike for it and requested three glasses of the house red, which would pair better with the rest of our menu. The waiter went on to suggest that I pay for the returned bottle at its retail price, a suggestion I firmly declined. We had a rather mixed experience at Maison Francois, starting slow and ending poorly. **BAR:** The decor is lovely, but since we arrived early (around 5 PM), the bar was not fully staffed, and we had to flag down a server to place our order. The cocktails were decent but nothing noteworthy, and there were no bar snacks available. We felt somewhat overlooked. **FOOD:** The brasserie cuisine was truly outstanding.
